Commentators were saying we succumbed to Cats pressure. Total rubbish.

There was no pressure; it was unforced skill errors. Every single goal in the third quarter was gifted through either dropped marks or poor disposal.

What the hell was going on?

I was worried about hunger after the Melbourne game and I am again. That third quarter was terrible; the errors say to me we weren’t as intense. It was brain fades all over the place. Worked hard for a while and then thought we’ve done enough.

Not in the game mentally or physically.

Oh, well, at least there was this:

Second game Nathan Williamson (the blonde maggot) has reamed us. Did it in the Demons game too.

Cats changed it up and the Tigers didn’t adapt. It was evident in the second quarter and I expected something to change after half time but it didn’t.

Hold a few dropped marks (forward and back), particularly in the first half, and the context of the match might have been very different.
Astbury looked lost having to man a proper key forward. Need more from Lynch and Riewoldt when things aren’t going their way. Rioli and Castagna the same.

Some poor decision making really hurt us. Didn’t seem to take the first option and then we were caught/rushed/had no second option. Cats crowded us and then rebounded fantastically.

I’m really looking forward to having our best 22 on the park. Prestia, Cotchin, Lambert and Grimes sorely missed. Stack’s best sees him in the team. Hoping Edwards injury isn’t too serious.

All that said... Cats were red hot and deserved that win.
