Yeah Nank hasn't been in great form, he keeps trying to do too much and then gets himself into trouble. Probably fair enough for him to drop out for Hinge.
I was at the game and the few times in the first half when he had the ball, there was no one in front of him. If he had kicked it, it would’ve been straight to a Carlton player. In saying that, he wasn’t confident to kick and kept going sideways.

Port only have Georgiades and Lord. Horses for courses

Butts - Lord
Worrell - Georgiades
Max - Powell-Pepper
Butts - Lord
Keane - Georgiades
Hinge - SPP
Max - Rioli
Wozz - 3rd man up

Did anyone watch Port's game on the weekend? I missed it

How on earth did they pulverise Hawthorn but curl up their toes like a checked out wooden spooner this week?
Only saw the 1st half.

Port had 1st use of strong breeze, but didn't make the most of it in the 1st quarter.

Bulldogs then gapped them from the 2nd quarter.

Out: Smith
In: Hinge

I'm at a bit of a loss with Draper at the moment. I want him in, but I also don't want to see Nankervis dropped for him at this point.
Nank will get dropped this week for Hinge - not Smith

Nank was by far the worst player on our team. Levels below everyone. That will be our only change assuming no injuries we haven’t heard about yet

Cumming played well. Took a few critical marks, was often right place right time
He’s a very smart player gets to right spots in defence and offence , was unlucky not to kick 2 goals , one was a shepherd on line free and other hit post after getting to a good spot to mark in pocket

Nah, the depth chart will do Smith in this week (and Smith wasn't good enough to overcome that). He was in for Hinge, he'll be out for Hinge.

Port only seem to play well when they have some additional motivation. They got themselves all worked up before the Hawks game due to the final last year when Ken got fined. They didn't have anything in particular to fire them up this week so they got smashed.

Ken is a great motivator and loves it when his team is getting smashed in the media. Same thing happened last year with the Rachelle comments before the showown. Unfortunately for them this year they are not really relevant anymore so he is probably struggling to get that motivation as nobody really cares about them.

Wouldn’t take any notice of an extremely windy day at Ballarat , we been there

Realistically, Port have had 1 good game this year against Hawthorn. They've been smashed by Collingwood and Bulldogs this year by 180 points total and lost games to the Saints and Essendon teams we beat easily. They also limped over the line against the Kangaroos last week at home. Port are an 10-12th side and this weekend and if we are serious, we should be brushing them aside by 4 goals +.

Wouldn't surprise me if they start fast this weekend, but fade as the game goes on and our depth over the park is too much for them.

They'll be fired up for this one I expect.

No doubt Butters and JHF will come out breathing fire. How we look to combat Butters in particular will be interesting; if we do it'll go a long way to helping us win. I wouldn't be opposed to getting Bond in as a pure negater / shutdown role, but not sure who makes way for him.

Agree 100%. Look at Ports splits:

6-2 in the first quarter (we are 6-2)
4-4 in the 2nd quarter (we are 7-1)
5-3 in the 3rd quarter (we are 5-3)
0-8 in the 4th quarter (we are 6-2).

Keep it close at 3/4 time and we should run over the ferals.

You'd expect Rankine and some of our boys will come out breathing fire given what happened last time as well and how he was treated by the Port fans being stretchered off the field. Would not surprise me at all if he gets stuck into the crowd if he slots a couple. Will be interesting.

Hope not. Don't want Nicks to drop him for the Collingwood game.
