100% McAndrew should be rested this week. It’s a long season and (with any luck) we’ll need him for the pointy end.

ROB is fine at rucking. It’s his work around the ground that lets him down. I think we can live with a few turnovers against Richmond. In return, ROB can ruck the entire game, allowing Thilthorpe to play out of the goal square. Toby Murray can also play more forward to take a defender (assuming Fogarty isn’t ready).

Mc Andrew for the first time on the weekend seemed below his opponent on the night (Sweet has been in OK form though). Even dropped his head at times which I hadnt seen before. 8 tough games in he is likely feeling it.

Wonder if this is the game we give him off and freshen him up before Xerri the following weekend followed by Horks duo? Followed by our bye.

Tigers have a no name debutant ruckman on the weekend from what I can gather and I reckon its time to let ROB 'work his magic' on the G

Remembering last year and the need to better manage the squad this seems like a sensible move imo
I’d go the other way I think. Let him have an easier game and build his confidence back against Richmond and let Rob get smashed into by Xerri

The risk is Rob going ok against no one at Richmond and the coaches getting the taste for him again.

I would be happy to give Nank a couple of games now vs lower opponents and take out Bond who is our weakest link.

Is Draper getting close to returning to the AFL side?
I really want Draper to develop in the AFL team not the SANFL, but by geez he isn’t doing himself many favours with his SANfL form. He has the occasional burst away from stoppage but is otherwise invisible at the moment.

Then weve got the twin towers at Hawthorn down in Tassie on a Thursday night off a 5 day break.

ROB will play 1, maybe 2 of the next 3 is my guess. Hope im wrong.

McAndrew plays this week and then he can have a spell.

We're coming off a 9 day break, and have a bye in two weeks. He's 25.

Why do we need to rest him?

How are we getting 2 five day breaks and a 9 day break? Surely they can do better.

Our game style doesn't seem to help our mids sometimes

Because we are a low handballing team, those chains of possessions through the middle don't occur. The mids aren't routinely involved in high possession chains, getting their hands dirty, getting a taste for it and building their numbers.

Our style suits half back kickers so Milera, Laird, Worrell typically lead our possession winners.

I don't know if we play in similar fashion in the SANFL

I find it hard to discern any game plan in the sanfl. You have so many top ups that it really is just a kick it to the next contest game plan.

Port seemed to have more of a game plan than we did from my viewing. Atleast they slowed it down or sped it up depending on the match status.

Thats plainly not true.

Didnt have a great game Friday but aside from that hes been fine.

We will lose to North Melbourne if ROB plays

Surely Fog is Ok to go this week. Was a test last week. Surely hes right now. We need him to replace Tex. If not we just go the Murray Brothers up forward with Thilthorpe and have Borlase and Worrell down back

With Tex out and FOG struggling with injury is either Marsh or Ludo and option? Rather try one of these instead of going back to Maley.
Nicks wouldn't have even learned Ludo's name yet. He's years away

Fogarty will thrive just as soon as we get a critical mass of players who can hit up a lead. Fog is a lead up forward. The quality of a Cook can bring out the best in him but too many either bomb or simply don't have the finesse to execute properly.
I was thinking we need a new forwards coach to help Fog but you’re right, Darcy should just lead at Cook every time he has it.

Stop wrestling, Fog - we’ve been through this every year for your entire career.

Aliir Aliir had quite a few fumbles and missed marks in the 1st half. Milera was on Berry when he scored the goal to put them in front. He went the tackle on Wines that left Berry free.
Do you take those instances into account when deciding BOG?
First crack showed the footage of that and it was Taylor who left Wines free both stoppages

Milera was probably BOG - but Berry was excellent.

There's less than zero chance Berry gets dropped, and rightfully so.

That being said, I'll be happy when he's no longer in our six best mids.
If he's not in our six best mids we'll be doing very, very well. That day probably won't be for a while yet

Him and/or Peatling as a fourth/fifth option is fine enough
