Comparing our injury list to other clubs only highlights the other clubs that also have poor medical staff at the time. Sometimes teams go up and down the injury ladder, probably highlighting changes to their staff/program with a bit of bad/good luck thrown in. We just keep trotting out very long injury lists every single season. It's not just bad luck.

Have you ever switched GPs or specialists or dentists and gone ... "geez, this one is a lot better/worse than the last one I went to". Because I have. Just because they are medical professionals, doesn't mean they are all equally good. And our medical team is clearly one of the worst in the AFL, even if worst means still very good compared with the whole medical fraternity.

Who said they were all equally good? How the hell would you know they are one of the worst? Are you qualified to make that judgement? What are you using to base that on? We actually had/have some very durable players that have been playing under this apparently awful medical staff.

Could it possibly be anything to do with the long interstate trips every second weeks, that would explain why the tosses up the road have the same issues.

One minute it’s ‘work your way in, work your way out’ now it seems youth is the priority.

Pearce 100% doesn’t deserve to be omitted before others based on the last game.

Feel free to check my posts. I’ve ripped Pearce in many comments and couldn’t understand his inclusion but having been included he didn’t deserve to be dropped.

I just hope Pearce was treated with respect during the process. Something like ‘mate, we’re short some run and experience and would like you to play against the Saints, but obviously you’re aware of our longer term outlook and we’ll continue to play the youngsters down the track.’

I'm a bit the opposite. I've been a fair defender of DP over the years, but I think his game has been a touch overrated - good goal and a few other moments not withstanding.

But, yeah, agree. If it we were in the 'winning at all cost' mode, I'm sure there would be a couple that would be out before DPearce. To his credit, DP has handled the situation very well and I don't think anything is going to change - and that has probably come in response to respect shown from coach and club in this whole process.
