Jordan Lewis sticking up for Jack and Lynch and criticising our delivery inside 50.

“You look at Richmond’s inside 50s from the weekend, the amount of times they kicked the ball on Tom Lynch’s head or on Jack Riewoldt’s head, they just give them absolutely no chance,’ he said on SEN Breakfast.

“If there was a roof on the stadium, the ball would nearly hit the roof on every occasion.

“There’s no system to it. They don’t give their forwards a chance.”
Stack will fix this. He'll be lacing out Jack and Tom all night

Dunno. We played for so long bombing it in and creating a contest for our smalls. Now we have to lace it out because of oppo flooding. Takes time to adjust. We need our best users of the pill in the side. Stack a good addition but we are badly missing Shedda and Bachar.

Has been close to our best defender since midway through 2017.
Very close. His locker's right next door.

"Midway through 2017" is an odd marker though. Rance was clearly our best defender that whole year, as he had been for the previous five and was the next one. Grimes has been the best since Rance went down, but Vlastuin would be next.

All the markov haters in here make me laugh
Are these the same people that wrote towna off in 2017?
Probably.
If you have a look at the form from the seconds matches youd see hes been a standout.
What creates good depth in a side is blokes battling for positions and if youre not selecting on form then whats the point?

Genuinely not sure who to tip in this game?

And yes I take my tipping seriously.

wasn't Bannick the number one draft pick ?
From memory he was. In fairness to the bloke he had chronic back problem that cut short his career. Back in the dark days when we fluffed every draft. But worse was to come as we all know. Tambling instead of Buddy 😮

Vlas a massive out, but with the dogs fwd line playing pretty small it could be worse. Balta takes Bruce, then Broad takes the next most dangerous, Grimes plays the intercept role unless Bont goes fwd. Baker, Markov, Egg need to cover the rest of their smalls and provide some run.

Cotch, Ross play 100% inside mid with Dusty, Pickett, Stack, Lambo rotating mid/fwd.

Short on a wing, got the tank and the foot skills to give Jack, Lynch and Chol some decent service.

Massive game needed from Soldo, if he can win the majority of stoppages, then his lack of mobility will hopefully even out against English.

How hard can it be to jab a pass from 60 to 45?

This draft decision will never go away and I get that. But if you look at it, we didn’t have the cattle around a Buddy - nor the coaching to develop him - before him most probably leaving. Not sure it would’ve made a difference to us being pretty bad.

Buddy would have won just enough games off his own boot to ensure we didn't get Cotch, Dusty, flags. Most fortunate mistake.

Agree and it's likely we don't get Cotch and Dusty in future drafts also

This nonsense needs sorting out once and for all.

In 2006 Hawks took Mitch Thorp at 6 while players of the quality of Jack Riewoldt, Shane Edwards, Daniel Connors(saved Dusty’s career by getting sacked,) Carl Peterson(had a classic 1970’s movie named after him) and Andrew Collins(gave us the Grigg) were still on the table, but do we go on and on about it? No!

In 2010 those morons were more off than on when they took Sam Grimley at 39 while a certain Dylan Grimes was praying to god they didn’t take him so we could.

They get one right in a blue moon and we never hear the end of it. Fools. Haw-hawthorn are not even our laughing stock. They are our laughing stock’s laughing stock and always will be.

Banik was a gun junior but did not grow. Had that chunky build but must have been 5 foot 8.
Got chronic fatigue, won a ressies bnf and retired on 49 games.
Peter matera was pick 2 that year.
Can't win them all.
