They did at the start of the second leg in Vietnam, but I haven't seen the start of any other episode so couldn't tell you if thats normal or not for this version

Some number in the local currency so the amount meant nothing to me
That was a challenge once on American TAR. They had to play a piano and raise a certain amount of moneyI thought the teams had to busk between legs, and whatever money they raise that's how much they use on the next leg.
