Yeah good side, didnt mean overrated in general

Just think this weeks win lifted them more than it should have

But time will tell

We held the Eagles to 26 less than their predicted score and also outscored our predicted score by 22. So we went both up and to the left. That may make it look like a bigger movement than if it just went straight up or across.

A similar scoreline against North would move us slightly to the right, but that's about it.

Crows seem rather overrated after beating the eagles

No way to know until a decent block of games has occurred though.

If they are overrated they won't be able to match or exceed the squiggles tips for points for and against and so far they are doing just that.

A decent block? - you mean the top 9 sides? Well, Crows have played all of them in the first 12 games!:
  • Roos (A)
  • Port
  • Swans
  • Hawks (A)
  • Dogs (A)
  • Cats
  • GWS
  • WCE (A)
A block games In terms of games played from now, which is where other poster feels they're overrated.

What part of my post makes you think I don't rate them?

So how often have the weagles lost at home lately... Let alone have a close game! Normally they blitz teams at home.

Was a huge win as only 3 away wins by top-8 teams v other top-8 teams.

Interesting to see how, while the teams generally go from bottom-left to top-right (as you'd expect - with better teams having both better attack and better defence on average), among the top 8, there is an inverse correlation. The most attacking teams have the worst relative defences and vice versa. Goes some way to explaining why this year is so even.

The squiggle is now predicting the Giants to finish on top of the ladder. Yes the Giants!!

Only percentage separating the top 7 teams!

This is a hell of a season.
It's not like anything else we've seen in a long time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it wasn't a seven point loss.

Think he means the final forecasted game.. But then that's currently forecasted as a 14 point win to Adelaide.

Yep the forcast for our rd 23 game.
It was 97 - 90 last night.
Maybe Squiggle read my post

Having won on the road against another top 8 team and held the Eagles scoreless at Subi the first time in 30 years I think you deserve some praise.
Its praiseful but honestly every game we have played in where we lose the lead in the last quarter, we go to absolute shit. This has been going on for the better part of a decade. We are mentally weak.

Yes, it's great. Maybe the most even since 1993!

How on Earth did Adelaide win an elimination final from 5th and then get themselves a double chance?

The finals system was different - 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5 - with the two lowest-ranked losers bombing out. It was unlikely that the loser of 4v5 would be one of those teams. 6th could even get a double chance.

2 highest ranked winners went into 2nd semi, and west coast (6th) knocked off the 3rd placed team for us.

Well, everybody seemed to think before the match that West Coast were unbeatable at home.
No such thing - I was nervous before the game and thought the Eagles would have to play at their best (which they have not done all year) to beat Adelaide, but never anticipated the Eagles would not kick a score for 40 minutes!! The result (the win to Adelaide) was not the surprise, if was the way in which th Eagles lost that is frustrating the supporters and others.

Anyway it's an interesting year and very difficult to predict who is favourite to win the flag. Can never write off the Hawks though with their finals experience and I guess for that reason would have to include Sydney and Geelong in that. Would like to see somebody different win it though - perhaps a GWS v Adelaide GF (that will make the Vics happy:rolleyes:) !!

The squiggle is the only entity that see's WC as a flag threat.

My belief has been seriously challenged, if not dashed completely after this round. We're pretty far off the pace this season.
Not that far off,
