After today Kirby has a 6 goal lead with three rounds remaining. Can he become the first 'pie to win the Jim "Frosty" Miller Medal? It looks a race between four and although Richmond play the day after us in round 19 we could yet see a head to head (Kirby vs Conway / Lisle) battle at Olympic Park.

Are we officially out of the race for vfl finals yet? Or still a mathematical chance?

Great effort by Kirby especially given his effort to "catch up" and drop a few kilos after christmas break.
The ladder in the post above yours (which seems to be up to date) says we are just one win out of the eight, and with a better percentage than the eighth placed team (Werribee). Yesterday's game really was a classic "eight-point game".

We play bottom-placed North Ballarat at Victoria Park next week, and Essendon (7th) play Box Hill (1st), while Werribee (8th) play Williamstown (2nd), so fair to say things are falling into place nicely for us. Apart from the injury/suspension issues for the senior side, which will probably have repercussions for this team! There's three rounds to go, we should be a great chance to make it.

Still in the race.

Indeed, if the results of next week go as expected, we will be in the eight (al beit on percentage), with a fortnight to go.

Our last two games beyond next week will be on home soil (al beit on the indifferent hunting ground of Olympic Park), against opponents we have good records against. We are in this up to our necks...

Cheers wasn't sure if the vfl was top 6 given lesser teams in it.

Agree, great effort although I think some thanks has to go to Apex36 for his "Hugs for Kirby" campaign.

I contributed to his weight loss by chasing him around the oval at the Holden centre trying to hug him.

That's why they didn't pursue the intervention order. You were of more use to them as a fat burner...
