Can't be anything wrong with a bit of choice. Listened to MMM on the drive home Thursday and it was ok - and perhaps it'll promote the game a bit to the masses a bit more, who knows.

MMM - too much background crowd noise, found them tense to listen to.

ABC - less background noise, relaxing commentators to listen to. Still my choice for test cricket.

Listened to Triple M for about an hour this arvo, didn't mind it apart from Mick Molloy who is just useless. When I found out that bellend Brad McNamara is producer I switched it off.

Listen to the ABC by force of habit due to growing up in the bush but the female commentators are just awful. I know the ABC have to be "sah progressive" these days but it just ruins it, could pull randoms out of the crowd and you'd get better insight.

Having said that the pommy bird is way better than the Aussie one.

I'm an unabashed JB fan. I don't think anyone can honestly say he is not one of the best radio talents around- his turn of phrase and his ability to tell a story his extraordinary. JB, Isha, Skull and Molloy are great - Haddin and Hughes are alright also everyone else can get shipped though

Someone needs to invent a TV so you can mute Ch9 and listen to whatever radio station through the TV. That being said Big Carl just does not have the voice for radio. He sounds like the teacher from Ferris Bueller.

ABC by far. Whateley is fantastic at everything he does, best caller in Australia by far IMO. Mitchell is quality, as are Hull and Mitchell. Nannes can be a bit negative but it's better than spinning everything as a positive, Rogers is very insightful and Katich is pretty good as well.

I normally think women commentators are pox, they try too hard to show they're not token and come across really poorly. But Allison seems to know her stuff and slots in seamlessly with the others.
