Agree with the uni parking. I have a class at 10am and I've just given up trying to find parking close to uni so I end up heading straight for the parking lot at the gym (curtin).

Closing at my work the other week, a couple strolls in right at closing time, I wait a minute or two (They're looking at birthday cards)

Still looking.... so i turn the shops lights off to give them the hurry up message.
They still look for a little longer before finally picking one, come up too the counter and after paying, they have the nerve to ask if they can write on it in store.

I told them "Sorry but we a closing" But they wanted to post it right now FUUUUU
So other person working gives them a pen and they start writing a freaking essay on this birthday card.

Walkout without even saying thanks

Selling shit on eBay can be ****ing terrible. Some prick didn't get the cigarette charger, cleaning cloth and cover with their phone, and tried to squeeze me out of $50 for it.

I work at a major shopping centre and pretty much always park 2 levels down. So the other day it was a packed carpark, so i cant see around any corners and i take it slow when coming up to a left turn.

I start to turn left and then immediately slam on the brakes to find a camry head on in the left hand lane (the wrong lane for them) and they were asian.

If my reflexes were any worse i would have hit them, so naturally i honked the horn, got out of the car and gave the asian a lecture about the fact that we drive on the left side of the road here.

I am also really starting to get angry at those people who are at the lights, maybe a few cars back from the front and then wait until the light turns green to let you know they intend to make a turn. What, is the ticking of the indicator light that annoying that you can't have it on while you are waiting?

Conversely, I find it more funny than rage-inducing to see people put their indicator on when there is only one way for them to turn. You're turning left? Wow, didn't see that coming.

At least you Curtinese people don't have to fight with the general public for parking. That's what we deal with at Notre Dodge :P

Frustrating to see crap like this all the time, especially from foreigners when it is so hard for me to get my license.

haha curtin parking was shocking, i remember raging on sooo many occasions. Its not as if they dont have the space to build a fricken carpark either. Stingy bastards.

Trying to find parking at uni, further rage occurs when Asians wait in their cars in the middle of the car park.

I'm at Murdoch, and I've never really had this problem. There's always spots available in car park 7. The fact that I fork out over $200 for a Red permit helps too - there are more red bays than green bays.

Still don't understand why Curtin converted a few student bays to staff bays... it always seems like there is staff parking available but never student parking

That would shit me if it happened at Murdoch. But right now, they don't distinguish between staff parking and student parking, just red and green zones, and both staff and students can buy either permit.

when it is so hard for me to get my license.

Hard?? Seriously? Did you have to learn how to correct an oversteer? Or what to do to correct understeer? How to correct a slide when you feel one coming? How to brake without ABS? I think it's a pity that advanced driver training isn't made compulsory for L-platers before they can get their Ps. Driving tests are way too easy.

How much are permits at Murdoch? It's something like $6 a day for parking at ND. That is with a discount at the Collie Street carpark. Otherwise it is $1.20-$1.80 an hour and you can only pay every hour or every three.

Hahaa funny story, my rebel mother goes to Murdoch and she was told to just leave an old fine on her windscreen to avoid new ones. So she did :D has worked numerous times.

Anniversary/Birthday/Christmas shopping for the GF.

Don't get me wrong I like giving my GF nice things, but I just hate the shopping process involved.

Spent two hours last week jewelery shopping with a friend for an anniversary gift takes the cake.

You cannot whinge about carparking until you've tried to get a carpark at Melbourne Uni.

Melbourne Uni
Royal Women's Hospital
Royal Children's Hospital
Royal Melbourne Hospital
Lygon St
Visy Park

All within a couple of blocks of each other. Parking is non-existant. When I went to Latrobe to visit mates I felt like fapping at the parking options.

People always complained about the parking at Deakin in Burwood. They all ignored the parking at Elgar Road. I'm amazed how few people actually know about it or do know about it and can't be bothered walking the extra 500 metres across the bridge.

haha yes i know that one ben.

you're in perth so i assume you go to curtin if you have this problem...i just park in the international student living area car park, vickery house. always spots there and they hardly check it. it's right next to my building too.

HELL TO THE ****EN YES!

i studied at curtin for 6 years and seen how appaling the parking has become, what was worse was rather the university improve the parking, they jacked up the prices from roughly 60 dollars a year to 150 and not increase parking spaces. theyre trying to deliberately make everyone use public transport. i dont see it feasible where i live as its a 15 min drive, a bus ride was an hour at least.

I had a woman come through the bottle-o where I work last night who asked me for a four pack of Jim Beam Black. I went in and got them for her and brought them up on the till, they came to $20. I walked back to her car and told her as much, and she turns around to me and says "Nah, that's not right, youse have 'em on special this week!".

I told her that they weren't on special, and $20 was the normal price. So she says to me "Nah, on Boozle it says you blokes have 'em for sixteen bucks. You've got a computer in there, go to Boozle and look it up, I want 'em for that price!"

I then told her that Boozle was an independent website not affiliated with us at all, and that we have no obligation to give them to her for that price. She was amazed, and clearly pissed off, so she asked to speak to my supervisor at the time. He came over and told her exactly the same thing I had, yet she still continued to argue the point.

In the end, she told us to get ****ed and drove off. Gotta love bogans :thumbsu:

^^ This.

I went to a bottleo to get drinks for my 21st last year and the price was different to that listed on boozle. Maybe boozle should just be canned if it's not giving accurate prices?

Whilst I agree, it's much easier to take the train to Melb Uni.
