this is the one place in my team i was never keen on i stated heaps of time on Dreamteamtalk.com live chat that i wasnt happy at all with the back but struggle to pick them enough good ones to get me through the season , and Gilmore was another one i wasnt sold on but i heard he was playin off the half back line and thought he may be handy pick in the ruck then...

Ben Cousins and Andrew Raines are both expected to be sidelined for at least three weeks following injuries sustained in last night’s loss to Carlton.

Cousins suffered a grade one hamstring strain – considered in the low-end category for hamstring injuries – early in the last quarter.

“His condition today is better than what we expected,” Richmond Football Operations Manager Ross Monaghan said.

“We will take a conservative approach to treating Ben’s injury, and he is expected to be on the sidelines for 3-4 weeks.”

Raines also left the field in the last quarter of last night’s match with a knee injury, which was later revealed as a lateral meniscus tear.

“At this stage he is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, but if the damage is worse than expected, he could be out for a longer period,” Monaghan said.

Updates to Raines’ injury will be posted on richmondfc.com.au in the coming days.

I'm not worried about the overall just the league so 2 of the 3-4 weeks don't matter. Lets hope with the extended break this week playing on Thursday the 3-4 weeks will be no more than 3.
The Tigers play on Sunday Round 4 as well.

Im just gonna put hill on the field - he should provide enough cover.

If broughton or petrenko or geary/spangher/collier smash the first two rounds i may downgrade him, but for now, im happy with hill playing.

I think your in trouble if you dont have hill on the bench though...

I think that if Raines remains injury free, he is too valuable a prospect to throw away. Sadly I have Cousins also, so I may look in to an early trade on that decision. I was going to go with Daniel Jackson first, which might have been a bad decision anyway.

I wouldn't go as far to call it a game

My point is that if that if he can get over last nights injury and put in 4-6 weeks of solid scoring then he's going to make enough money to upgrade. That's the reason he's in my team anyway.
