The judge called the 2 opposing counsels into his chambers. He brought up the fact that it appeared that there was a pay off involved and how much were they getting.

Kym Gyngell's fantastic performance.
Barnie's rant at the government officer.
Cleaver's defense of the wanking photographer. Comparisons with Julian Assange and Edward Snowden !!!!

The quality of the writing and acting in this series is so incredible.

Bloody Thursday night footy meant I missed this weeks and haven't had a chance to see it on iview but lucky for me I just spotted a replay is on in about 20 minutes.
 
Air quotes and Ibises are the most important issues.

David Potter running for the Greens up against Cleaver.

Santo Cilauro playing the weather man - reincarnating his weatherman from Frontline.

Cal McGregor is one of Oz TV's great characters and the actor David Garvey has a great grin and voice/accent for the delivery of some great lines. He ends up as Cleaver's brother in law.:D

From dodgy lawyer to dodgy real estate agent. Perfect career change for Cleaver.

Haha Tony Jones - is he the first jail bird into the senate?? Looks like Hinch won that race.

Australian TV's greatest work. Well done to all those involved in putting this show together since Season 1. Many laughs were had and many more will be had as I go through the seasons over and over again in the future.

Not many television series can say that every single season created was as good as the last, if not better.
 
Not quite the show it was in seasons 1 and 2 for mine, storylines are pretty outrageoous and over the top now but still a bloody good show and this was a great season. Loved the subtle call backs to early stuff in the last ep - air quotes, 'correct' and just staring at the lady who pressed the lift button hahaha. God I feel sorry for Wendy, didn't blame her in the slightest when she told everyone to just **** off out of her house.

Other highlights from this season;

- getting into a fight (and losing) with a bloke in a wheelchair
- everything Cal McGregor (beach wedding to Cleave's sister on election morning pure gold)
- quality rant at the 2 chicks chatting in the store when he was in hiding, the fact that it was only what he wanted to do but couldn't and it was all in his head made it even better lol

This getting another season or is that it?

Absolutely.
I wonder if you could help me. In the 4th series when Cleaver goes to court for either the photographer ,or Potter the polli, I can't recall , but there was an actress I know really well and I think she played the lawyer for the prosecution either against Potter or Gyngells character, but I continually get her mixed up with the the actress that plays Barneys wife Scarlett.
She had a word outside the court house with Cleaver about the case , I'm sure it was after Scarlet died, I can't remember. But it is annoying me a little.
Hope you may know? I've tried looking on Google I just can't find anything that gels for me, this actress I am thinking of may have been in Tangle.
Or maybe I just made a mistake.

Pretty sure you are talking about Catherine McClements. She has been in lots of movies and TV stuff and I know here from late 90's cop show Water Rats on 9 where she was the female cop partner to the cop played by Colin Friels . They have done a few things together inc a couple of movies. And she was in the late 00's show on 10 called Rush where she played another cop.

I can't link stuff or cut and paste on my phone but goggle her image and check episode 6 of series 4 on iView on the ABC site as all episodes are under Rake sub website there.

Only started watching this year and have finally finished season 4. Oh, what a fool I've been. I often thought the show looked intriguing, but never got around to watching. So glad I found this. An absolute Aussie classic. Richard Roxburgh is the devil.

Absolutely. If you like this actor see if you can get hold of the ABC's Blue Murder show, about Roger Rogerson and the Sydney underworld, its a true story and brilliant.
Also I think Rake may be coming back for series 5 , its so good they can keep going if they like!

They are making another Blue Murder with Roxburgh playing Rogerson again.

I'm about half way through season 2 and binging it quickly. Most of the Aussie TV that I have watched is utter garbage but this is truly brilliant. So funny and chaotic.
