He’s probably not one of them.

I like yabbies and WA Marron (though you have to buy them alive to be any good in Victoria which is a bit unsettling)
Not many crustaceans I don't like. Which make me think of a Simpsons meme.

I've never heard of these Water Rats don't do them justice. They look like little Otters.
Yeah, rat isn't a good name. I hate rats and I don't hate these fellas.

I don’t mind my rat. He just does the odd time trial circuit on the back fence and entertains the cats
Are your cats still in the outdoor enclosure? Otherwise that rat wont be doing many fence runs.

My old mans cat got out of the house for the first time about a month ago and never came back.

Yes they are. They like watching stuff out there. It’s one of the drawbacks of indoor cats that they are disoriented if they escape and hide, but don’t know how to get back. I hope someone found and adopted your mums cat.

The enclosure is nice for the cats because they can lie in the sun and swot flies and do cat things without being able to eat native birds. And they do keep rodents out of the house. Mice and rats have a good sense of smell and instincts to detect a couple of furry predators so stay away.

Funny thing is it was a feral kitten my old man took off a farm in Wilcania so it was always a bit crazy but affectionate. I reckon when it got out it went on an adventure and found its way into to someone else who took him.

Walking around the park near my house yesterday and my pup came across a dead fox. Looked in good shape so concerned some may have put bait out as it looked to just drop dead in a random spot. With bait I would assume death be a little slower and it make its wat to its den.

Probably - and more likely to survive as a hunter until someone found him.

Mind you, some of the most surprising cats make it as feral. My sister had the dumbest Burmese cat ever known who got lost, lived a wild life, and a year later was returned by someone who found him on a property outside Hall living off the rat plague in their stables - he was posh looking so they figured he was a pet and his microchip got him returned. Then he went back to being thick as a plank again.

Unreal photo, omit. I wish I had random frogs in a random pipe.
I have frogs come into my house after we have a lot of rain. In fact, I probably have a photo!
