A shame, really.I don't know which thread it was being discussed in, but I remember around Grand Final time last year we were debating whether the Dogs premiership cup would be engraved with just "Western Bulldogs" or incorporate Footscray in there somewhere in a similar way to North in 1999. Well, the answer is...

Just "Western Bulldogs". Not a Footscray to be seen.

Not really. It's been 20 years now, why go back for the cup and nothing else?A shame, really.
Because it kills off any notion that they may be open to changing their name in the future. Not really. It's been 20 years now, why go back for the cup and nothing else?

Not necessarily to Footscray, but anything more geographically representative of the area they now cover would be better. I always knew it would be a stupidly long shot. They've been quite clear for a fair while that they have no interest in changing back to Footscray. As romantic as the notion seems, its just not going to happen. They've been the Western Bulldogs for over 20 years now - a whole generation know them only as that, and have little affinity to the Footscray name. They're also still essentially based entirely within Melbourne or Western Victoria (with the Ballarat push).
Compare that to North, who went by just "Kangaroos" for only nine years, and were nomadic all over the country during that time (Sydney, Canberra, Gold Coast), and were actively fighting against interstate relocation. They had a fractured identity and a chairman who stepped in to ensure their future was in Melbourne only (and then sold games to Hobart, but I digress). They had a very strong reason to go back to the North Melbourne name, something which the Dogs just don't have.
Greater Western MelbourneNot necessarily to Footscray, but anything more geographically representative of the area they now cover would be better. I always knew it would be a stupidly long shot.
Gee; that is an awkward name! I had to look up who they are (suspected North Ballarat but had no idea they'd taken over the whole region!)How about Greater Wester Victoria? Such a shit name, i doubt it's been taken. Oh wait...

You can probably duplicate the entire form, not sure about individual questions thoughAnyone know how to copy questions from one Google Form to another Google Form?
You will be paid in virtual hugs.

If you're going to design stuff in your spare time, use Photoshop. Way more templates and you'll be able to get help on things easier.Does anyone have any experience working with a program called CorelDraw? I wouldn't mind dipping my feet in some design stuff but I'm not sure whether to learn through Photoshop or Corel, which my work uses.
