Illustrator, even with student discount, is ~$30/month, though you do get the entire Creative Cloud suite of apps.
Problem with that for me is that I would only use PS, Illustrator and Premier Pro, and that's about it. Even then I'd be using PS 90% of that time.

Affinity Designer is $40 perpetual, so it seems like a really good deal for what I would consider equivalent to Illustrator in terms of what I want to get out of it.

Dylan8 do you know by chance when this sale is suppose to end?
no idea

A bit of a long shot but anyone know of a way to fix a file with corrupted layers? I click Flatten and it then reads 'cannot complete request because of unexpected end-of-file was encountered'.

So I just watched the 1994 State of Origin game and can I just say how much better it was than watching the equivalent footy now. 1994 Origin was so much better, so much more free flowing so many more highlights. There was probably 4 or 5 ball ups around the ground in the last quarter where as these days there would be 4 or 5 in 5 minutes. I knew SA would win but I was still intrigued by the game.
I noticed that Andrew Jarman had his customary long sleeves and he was the only SA player with a collar where as all the Vics had them.

I recently set up a Windows 95 emulation on PCem and ran my old Collingwood MCD Video Card. Anyone else ever have these rectangular disks? Very interesting concept and was glad it worked because the file's too old for Windows 10. I screencaptured it for all to see, enjoy!

Worrying trend developing of portfolios entitled, "[League Name] X [Manufacturer Name]" or vice versa :)
Eh, at least its better than when everyone was knocking off FT's portfolio blurb

What if the VFL never became the national competition?
What if the Eagles and the Dockers never existed?
What if thousands of local fans week in, week out packed out their local suburban footy ovals?

pretty common outside of this board tbf - used regularly when two known brands or entities crossover especially in fashion.

I'm just happy to see so many portfolios running on the board, good times!
Definitely - only having to travel to and from work has created a lot more free time for me to do things such as work on templates as well as a soon to-be-released portfolio with Nato.

Productive times on FJGD, hopefully can keep that feeling for when the new MSFL begins.

There's been ripping interest for the MSFL which is exciting, last time I remember a comp with huge board-wide interest was probably the ABA in late-2018

Don't forget the CCRC is also running currently. Some more entries in that would be great as well.

also FWIW loving all the portfolios currently on the board.

such good shit, even if some of the stuff overlaps, makes me really happy to see this level of activity on the board.

Just watched Two Hands (1999) for the first time and it's an incredible film, could be up there as one of the best Australian films. And it's got Heath Ledger in it so if that isn't enough to make you wanna watch it I dunno what is.

Got hold of another childhood classic PC game in physical form, AFL Finals Fever. The intro oozed 90's football and I just had to share it since it's not on Youtube, until now. Enjoy!
