I understand that
Though it would be an awesome reference for not just discussion, but to see when teams wore what.
Most of the information would be taken off aflphotos.com.au website, it would just need to be collated differently.
I agree it would be a brill database to have, but I'm just more thinking of how much time you'll have to invest to get the games together.
I mean, how far back would you stop?

As I said, aflphotos.com.au have pictures from all games up until a certain point (I'm not sure the exact date).
It would be good to get approximately the last twenty years, and anything prior to that would be a bonus.

I've thought of this many many times Akkaps. I'd have a crack at it over the summer when work quietens down
Seeing as though it's school holidays / uni holidays, I thought it would be a good reason to start now with anyone that would be keen.
But I'm happy that this peaks your interest, and would be happy to start whenever.

The research isn't actually that hard, so the more people we have on it'll be done just like that.

Sounds like a good idea akkaps - I'd like to help if it's a goer. Perhaps "researchers" could do a different year each. I guess you'll need to set a format & maybe some criteria around what (if any) explanatory text is included.

Sweet. Thanks.
I was going to suggest that one person would be responsible for one year, each.
I have a couple of ideas in regards to formatting and what pages would be used.
One page per round, each connecting back to a "year" main page. Each page would have all the matchups from the round, including the kits, results, venue, etc. And would be formatted like this URL.com/2017/round-16
And a page per team, with information on the clubs jumpers including stats and percentages. And links to a page for each individual year they were in the AFL. The formatting would be something like this URL.com/adelaide-crows/2017.

In a frankly hilarious piece of irony, it looks like Bigfooty's frustrating and invasive image hosting shit where it rehosts our images to bigfooty has actually saved every photobucket image on bigfooty posted until now from this image hostage situation.

akkaps I'll help out where I can mate
I wasn't knocking the idea, I thought you were going to do it all on your own!
Yeah, I understand where you are coming from.
The main reason I posted it here was to get some interest, and possibly getting people to help with the research. So anything anyone can do to assist would be awesome. I known I've done the research for 2014 and 2015, so that's a good place to start.
I may create a thread for some more discussion later.
