Has anyone had any experience with those new fangled totally cordless Bluetooth earphones? I'm thinking of getting a set of Samsung Gear IconX's, but at that price I want to be dead sure that they're worth having.

Not sure if it’s really the right place to post this or whatever, but anywho.

I’m gonna stop designing for at least a while - to simply put, I’m just not enjoying it right now, and haven’t been for quite a while, with the exception of some of the stuff I did for the NSL folio.

There’s also a tonne of stuff with work and my personal life that is taking a toll on my passion for design - especially when a large chunk of my working life involves design. It’s not much of a wind down anymore, so much as a chore trying to reach deadlines etc.

I’ll finish running the NAFL ressies, but will probably get someone who is willing to take over FLO at least for a season.
Well that sucks. I hope the break serves you well and you at least remain active around here. Thanks for setting the bar high for all of us.

Andonis1997 are you watching MAFS again this year?
I don't know if I want to be sucked back in
I forgot I even watched it last year :D Nope, not this series. I think I am trying to restrict myself from watching trash this year, haha (inb4 but you watch Wellington/Carlton/Liverpool comments).

Just any reality TV is out for me at the moment.

Thought as much. When you speak two languages (or another one other than English as your primary language) you can find it hard to switch completely between the two.
Definitely true. My second language is Auslan, so I guess I don’t have to worry about that

Hmm, you never know. Watch your hands next time you speak :D
Mine's (obviously) Greek, so I'm sure if I was around Greek-speaking people every day, I would unknowingly add words like malaka in every-day conversation with normal Australians.

I'm also sure I wouldn't have normal Australians as friends if I kept calling them malakas.

I've just got the Bluetooth headband theyve done for the AIAIAI TMA2s I have and it feels great. I'm 2 songs in and it's a game changer imo.

Mind the headphones and headband are about 350-400 bucks. Great cans but. All parts replaceable so they'll last me forever.

Yeah bought a set of Bose QC-35 II's just before christmas, probably one of the best piece's of tech I've bought. Always been a bit of a skeptic with noise cancelling, but the noise cancelling tech on these is simply amazing!

Those are the ones you've shown me before, right? With the fully modular design? I'm not massive on over ear headphones, I have a pretty big head so they tend to feel pretty tight and can be really uncomfortable with my glasses. But I tried my mate's Bose QC35s last night and I think I'm sold, uber light and very comfortable. The price is the sticking point, you can get them on a good sale for $350 but the cheapest I can find at the moment are $370, but I'm doing a lot of travelling in the second half of the year so I think the noise cancelling capabilities will be well worth it.

Heh, good timing.

FWIW, the Samsungs I was talking about are these little doodads. A bit more research tells me that they have very short battery life and some latency issues. Might wait a few generations before I get on them.

I tried it in a JB Hi-Fi and was blown away. I'll be grabbing a pair as soon as I can find one under $350

Yeah they're pretty amazing. I found it hard to pick between them and the Sony 1000XM2, Sony kinda had the advantage with 40hr battery life, but the lightness of the Bose and comfort won me over. I managed to get mine for $415 around christmas, but even after owning them for a few months i'd happily spend full retail on them.
