The AFL decided to only allow game photography to the official AFL photography agency for the 2007.
That agency was GSP, who produce the AFL Record.
All match photography was licensed to them.
They then had the rights to selling all game pics to other media sources who wanted them. Newspapers, websites etc.
The various news agencies suggested that instead of covering football that they would instead send their photographers to the A-League.
So the AFL changed their stance on media rights and other photographers are again allowed to photograph the games.

Has there ever been an attempt on this board to plot out what jumper matchups should happen (i.e. which teams should wear clash where/when, regardless of any nepotism etc.)?

Yeah I remember that one now. As good as it is, I'm talking real-life kits mostly, trying to find a suitable resolution to every match possible in a season (all fixtures home-and-away) using a teams' current kits.
Perth wear purple, Storm wear purple, both breached the cap consistently under Gallop. Coincidence? I think not. Look out Freo if Gallop ever ends up in the AFL.

I think we need some movement here that there in terms of jumpers. For example, having Adelaide wearing hoops that go right around the body and the full range of West Coast wings jumpers available for selection. But, yeah, most of them should be the same.
