I've played both Ashes 09 and IC2010. Both are good games, but they get boring fairly quickly because there isn't much to do besides completing the challenges and winning the tournaments.
Pretty true. I just love it for the Action Cam.

so codemasters are not making a crickrt game this year? I know Big Ant are working on one

Any good sports games for Wii? :o I have FIFA 11, where the graphics are crap. Sucks having a PS2 and Wii...

Tiger Woods PGA Tour is the best sports game on Wii by a street. Buy the MotionPlus attachments for the remotes and you have basically 1:1 movement. Pretty cool.

People who choose the Lakers... If I didn't have an affinity toward New York City, I'd choose a real underdog team. But then again, I'm just a sucker, and perhaps I should start selecting successful sides. After all, I've never properly experienced seeing one of my teams win anything: Freo, that's obvious. And I only watched about ten Arsenal games and all the highlights in 2003/2004 (as I was about 9, and you can't grasp it at that age)... the FA Cup in 2005 was fun though. I went to sleep about 60 minutes in. I thought "nah, I'll see plenty more of these". Luckily I woke up at about the 70 minute mark, otherwise... well... you know how Arsenal's recent success is.

Also, the sheer volume of City fans on FIFA is so saddening. I think Asia and the US and Australia have this culture of loving the big clubs. I'm a supporter of a big four team. But I still find the idea of selecting "the best team around" to be so childish. At ten years old, it's understandable. But don't you feel guilty, or weird, picking a team because their just successful?

Who am I talking to? No one, but it's certainly infuriating.

Yeah, that's fair enough.

There isn't much difference between the two games, just slightly better graphics, updated uniforms, etc.

Wouldn't imagine there would be too much. I guess I'll just have to wait and see :)

Saw that on the box and was one of the main reasons I bought it :o

I find a lot of romanticism in supporting a lower league side. I saw a Plymouth Argyle fan in Freo once. Not only did he have on their old, orange away kit (orange kits are my favourite, so coupled with bottle green, it looked fantastic), but he had a unique fandom.

I can't recall how my support began.

But I never cared for 'soccer' at all. My dad grew up in Fremantle. Of course, being born in the 60's, he was footy through and through and supported South Freo. I just grew up with footy, and supporting the Dockers. My parents made a fair bit of money through buying and selling houses. I've lived in a pretty large amount of homes. But in about 2001, I moved next door to a kid about five years older. He was right into both soccer and footy. We used to kick around in his backyard, and played International Superstar Soccer on PS1. It was probably around World Cup '02 that I started supporting Arsenal. I think we would go out the front and play a game - open up the SBS World Cup guide, choose five countries, then play first to five games, with five overall lives. I think we started to do it with club sides, this was when FIFA 2003 came out. I guess I took a liking to AFC. Haven't looked back. As is written on our kits this year: "Forward".

He just got me into it. I owe so, so much to soccer. If I'd not moved in next to that kid, I have no idea how my life would've differed. I still see him around some days, but I doubt he remembers me.

That was such a self indulgent post. I'm sorry. Don't watch five episodes of Six Feet Under a day. You just turn introspective...

For some reason I get really annoyed by City fans who strut around in their brand new shirts who have absolutely no idea about their clubs culture and their history. It's alright if you at least take some time to learn about your club and it's culture and that. I bet there's a lot of City supporters who have no idea what Maine Road is or who billy meredith is. I guess that's the way of the world now. People new to the game want to support a team that will be successful quick and whose shirts will be at Rebel Sport.

In time there isn't going to be many QPR or Norwich supporters in Australia.

The arrogance irks me.

Going on Wikipedia and reading about history and culture isn't a chore. So why should someone be excused for blatantly glory hunting? Especially when in your teenage or adult years.

I have a Chelsea supporting friend who believes Arsenal aren't as strong a club as Chelsea. AFC absolutely trump Chelsea in terms of everything: They've spent longer in the second division, we have way more honours, and we're built on solid infrastructure ("the deeper the foundations, the stronger the fortress"). Once Chelsea's ownership dries up, they'll be in for some tougher times.

Man City's debt is another indictment on this. Appalling. I hope their ways of getting around Financial Fair Play are botched.

But Premier League viewing is actually decreasing in Australia. More Australian's are resonating with domestic football. The World Cup is, by far, Australia's favourite footballing event. But the A-League is on par with the Premiership. And, more Australian's have an A-League side than a European side... these trends are growing to flatter the Australian scene, and to detriment the PL. So I guess it's all kind of futile.

Bandwagoners=high up on the list of things that shit me. I can remember in 2007 when Portsmouth placed well in the premier league and won the FA Cup in 07/08 and people started jumping on the bandwagon at school. Sure enough, they were off at the drop of a hat once they started sliding.

This one might be for the slightly older or those simply with political interests, but has anyone taken the political compass test? (politicalcompass.org) Not surprised to see my result really. Would be interested to see where SA sits.

Similar to the Dalai Lama. Pretty much how I expected it would be.

Got a lot of lefties on here.

Also interesting to note the compass from last years federal election.

Real shame that the labor party is a mellowed down form of the Liberals with some green blood mixed in. I guess they're the lesser of two evils anyway.
