The standard isn't the same in the ammos as it is in the AFL.

The footy club aligned with my cricket club absolutely massacre the oval during the winter. It usually takes us until after Christmas to get it back to a good cricket standard. Square is always fine but the outfield is patchy as hell

So I've spent most of the day at a Viet/Indian wedding. It's the weirdest I've ever been to.

Firstly, the two backgrounds were seating on other sides of the room, this meant the Viet's got Viet food (including Spring Rolls, Lobster, etc) and the I got the Indian food (roti, curry). Really disappointed

Also, this wedding had Karaoke, and a party game where contestants have to blow up a balloon until it burst. The winner response to winning was, 'I blow and I blow, until it burst'. Funny as.

When you get into your mid 20s you'll go to a shitload of weddings. A couple a year. It's awesome, weddings are always fun, especially if people get up and dance and enjoy themselves.

I went to the only wedding I've ever been to a couple of months ago, a cousin of mine. It's really shit when you know no one there, I guess. And the whole traditional church bit was boring and grating as shit. Like, what other times are any of these people religious? Why bother having this shit in a church, singing hymns and shit? People are weird, shit.

Reception is much better but the aforementioned not knowing people ruined it for me personally. I guess when I'm older and it's my friends getting married..

This story reminded me of the time I finished 4th in the year 11/12 cross country race by taking a shortcut through the school and thus cutting half the course.

Not really another culture, but my wedding was a Christian wedding, and i'm not a believer, but it's okay because the pastor who conducted it is genuinely one of the best people I know and made me feel really at ease about the whole thing.

We had a couple of the musicians at the church play for us during the ceremony and they were amazing, they even learned two songs for us and we didn't pay them very much at all. Wonderful people. Every song we picked for the entire wedding was one that we already really liked, we didn't google wedding songs or anything.

Reception was awesome.
