What's the highest team total in NBA history? 186? I've scored more than that in a single play in Scrabble (194).

Half Back - you'll find it's "bosom" not "boosom". Unless you're actually in the wrong part of the female anatomy.

Lmach - might want to change Martin Kelly. When I see that name, I think of the dad from Hey Dad!, i.e. the accused paedophile...

For those of you who didn't watch the video, I'm back. Refreshed as ever and ready to make a positive contribution to the board yet again :thumbsu: Been so busy over the last week or so that I disappeared for that I never really had time to read or post anyway which was convenient. Spent a lot of time with friends (many of which I hadn't seen since school), grew another year older, had a fight with probably my best mate, reignited an old love for fishing amongst many other things. Pretty eventful if I say so myself. Its surprising how much you can actually achieve in a week without bigfooty, its actually quite ridiculous :)

Anyway, let things resume as they were

Yes. I managed to spend my 3 weeks without bigfooty rolling around the south island, met people I hadn't seen for years, spent new years night and on the waterfront in Wanaka with old acquaintances in a semi-conscious state, went swimming in freezing Lake Wanaka every day, took part in the Central Otago custom of wearning flanelette and cowboy hats in 35 degrees in a town called Alexandra, then experienced earthquakes in Christchurch for a week. Then I get back to Auckland and its raining and 25 degrees, and Im on bigfooty. Normal transmission resumes.

Auckland's cool. Its a whole 'nother world to the South Island though. Rains every day and is always warm, while the south island can be 40 in summer and -20 in winter. Auckland is the most multicultural city in Australasia (40% of population overseas born in 2006 census, compared to 32% of Sydney's), while the South Island is 90% European New Zealanders....South Islanders are generally rugby union mad, but Aucklanders generally only give a flying toss if the All Blacks are playing....Not a bad place to live as a teenager, but when you have an interest in urbanity and the planning of (as I do deeply) you realise that Auckland is heading up shit creek and the government's tossed the paddle....(While Auckland's City Council try their best to turn it into a world class city). Secession wouldn't harm the place. Any takers in Canberra?

Auckland  How was the earthquakes? Big? Did a lot of people scream?

I missed out on the 6.0s by a couple of days, but experienced a few around 5 and 4.....No screaming, but a few "for f***'s sake"-s..Christchurch is where I was born and grew up so every time I go back its pretty heartbreaking to see everything in ruins.

Oh, and after reading back a few pages and discovering some sporcle quizzes that Gibbsy had done I am now hooked, so, Mr. Gibbs, thank you, my life now has a meaning until my mates get back from their holidays too.

Yeah, Christchurch residents would be getting pretty peed off with these earthquakes. I feel terrible because Adelaide didn't have anything last year (in terms of natural disasters) and Japan, Christchurch, and even SE Queensland are copping it.
I hope no-one else has to suffer what those places have suffered this year, because this is ridiculuous. Even now with the Euro, Greece had the lowest suicide rate in the world, now it's the highest. And by the looks of it, are gonna go bankrupt. People were predicting it ages ago.
I just feel like crap knowing that I can do something, but I don't know how.

Meh. Whats happened in our part of the world and places like Japan, Turkey and Spain recently remind us how precious life is and how we all live at mother nature (or God's) mercy...Its bloody sad, yes, but the way I see it, Christchurch is now an opportunity to create a great city (we'll just have to forcibly settle all the bogans on Norfolk Island).

Wait, Spain? What happened in Spain?
Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly :thumbsu:

BTW, does anyone believe in 2012?
2012, is a load of horse shit. It's just like saying that at the end of year it's the end of the world because the calendar has ended.
