PAFC beat me to it. Basically now, GC have pick one and have said theyre taking O Meara. Adelaide has pick two and are taking Crouch. GWS have banked pick 3 and 4 for next year where the same situation will occur.

Also, Sturt will likely get him for a full season with no threat of call up in the SANFL AFL listed players draft as they have the first pick.

You have one, his name is Matthew Pavlich.
Pavlich is getting older, and his luck with injury is surely going to run out soon. I mean, how much can you rely on one KPF? He's obviously a total gun, and i've no doubt he'll be itching toward 60 goals if he's fit all season. But should he go down, who have we got? Ballantyne goes quiet far too often (especially interstate) and isn't a real target forward. Mayne isn't a good enough kick, and when made to stand on his own, really falls short.

That's why we need another forward.

Bollenhagen!! Justin Bollenhagen!!

He's not a key forward though, especially at AFL level. More of a small forward/midfielder. Used to go to my school and play for my local club as a junior. Fair bit of talk that he may get delisted anyway

Actually quite pumped for the international rules series. Just been reviewing a replay of the 2011 All-Ireland final. Cracker of a game that. I don't know all of the rules but still entertaining.

Looking forward to the international rules series too. First time its been in Queensland (I think), thinking of going. I know the basic rules of Gaelic football (mainly the ones similar to AFL :p), although there are some really stupid rules such as kicking the ball of the ground into your hands.

I know there are almost no Freo fans around here, but some of you guys from Perth might know.

So i'll be getting a Fremantle membership next season. I'll be living there for a year for uni. Obviously i'll be making a lot more friends. I usually go to the footy with my old man, yet he'll be staying in Albany for a few more years. Basically, I want to be able to go to the footy with mates who might not have memberships. So if I have a Freo membership, is there much chance of just sitting around with them? I go to a couple of Dockers games a year, but I obviously can't tell on a consistent basis.

So you're saying that you will have a membership, and will be buying single tickets for friends when required??

If so, no, you have very little chance of being able to sit with each other

I'll have a membership.

But I won't have anyone to sit with all season. Barely any of my friends are into the footy, hardly anyone at school supports Freo, and I doubt I will even talk to many people from High School next year.

And the idea of going to the footy by myself isn't awfully entertaining.

So, if I have friends who go to the footy, is there much likelihood of there being spare seats to just take?

But. I've kind of answered this myself...

@SA - At quieter games - Port, Crows, Lions - there's often groups of free seats in the away supporters blocks at the city end. These are also where leftover seats are sold to the general public. With friends that barrack for these sides who buy away tickets, I've sometimes met up with them and other member mates at quarter time after they've sussed out said clusters, and we watch the rest of the game together.
No other way I could imagine you could do it at Subi...

But be prepared for the deathly stares/to move around when people in these seats rock up.

@EFH - I'm hopefully going for the last session tomorrow (well, thats if we haven't bowled them out already) - just found out the 102 goes straight from UWA to the WACA, looking forward to taking full advantage of this soon :thumbsu:
The pitch looked green as on the tv on tues, sounds as though it's turned on its head?

Ah, the joys of state cricket. I remember bunking off in years 7, 8, 9 and 10 to go to Eden Park/Colin Maiden Park with mates and watching Auckland getting dicked week after week.

Looking forward to the international rules series too. First time its been in Queensland (I think), thinking of going. I know the basic rules of Gaelic football (mainly the ones similar to AFL :p), although there are some really stupid rules such as kicking the ball of the ground into your hands.

They call it "solo"-ing don't they? Not sure.
