I'm happy it's there as an alternative, I just wish it wasn't taken too seriously and I wish they would bring back the state teams in the domestic comp. Having said that, give me the real stuff any day of the week. Bring on the first test!

Test Cricket = Footy > Soccer = One-Day Cricket >>> Darts > T20 Cricket > Union > Basketball > other sports I can't be bothered putting in order.

Because it makes our real cricket team weaker.

In the 2010/11 Ashes series Steve Smith was picked because he was a half decent T20 player and was an obvious flop in the test side.

Or in late 2011 Shaun Marsh scored 99 not out in a domestic T20 match (coming back from injury) and was picked in the Australian Test Team, he played in all four tests against India and scored 17 runs in the entire series. Even most of our tailenders scored more runs in a single innings, which pretty much says it all. If T20 wasn't taken so seriously, he would've been put into Sheffield Shield Cricket first to build some actual form before being picked in the test team, but that was impossible because there was no Shield cricket going because of the plastic T20 competition. Which meant Marsh, a batsman who actually had talent, got humilated on the big stage and that series had probably set his career a few years back.

I could go on and on about this but I rather not.

I had everything booked for Surfers Paradise and then my group of mates had to cancel because we couldn't scrounge up enough money haha

I don't know if you did it, but a lot of people make the mistake of spending too much on accomodation, when you'll be spending pretty minimal time there.
 
Um, Marsh scored at least one century in the test series against South Africa prior to the India series didn't he, Everton?

Then got a bad injury and was pretty much rushed back into the side when he should've had at least one Shield match to find form.

Don't get me wrong, he has the talent, but that series pretty much screwed him up.

Haha the place was like a 2 star rating on TripAdvisor and it still cost nearly 2 grand for a week
