The Sunshine Plaza is the local hot spot for the worst kind of people that live here, unfortunately I have to go there almost every day.
Work?

The Riverwalk is a nice touch to it though ;)

But in all seriousness, once you get past the bridge, looking towards Rebel, it's not such an awful place. The restaurants on the left are reasonable, and the cinemas aren't too shabby.

oooh! Sorry. I thought you meant Sunshine as in the really awful Melbourne suburb, aka Scumshine, aka Scummy.
You sure know alot about Melbourne, considering you've never lived there haha.

True, going to the Bigtop shopping centre makes you appreciate that part of the Plaza.

BigTop is literally a ghost town.

Literally no one goes there. I'm surprised it hasn't been torn down yet.

I'm almost certain it has been planned to be torn down several times but for some reason its just never eventuated. The shopping centre is pretty much just used as a carpark now.

What a waste of $20 million. They should have spent that money on refurbishing the Plaza.

Or something that would attract tourists. One thing that the Sunshine Coast doesn't need more of is retail chains, but after seeing the reaction to Clive Palmers plans (which I am all for) this area is obviously resistant to change and we'll end up with just that.

I've been there plenty of times. And some suburbs are just notoriously shit. I've never been to New York but I know the Bronx is pretty, uh, 'gritty.'

A couple of people have asked me for a tutorial on Gimp so here it is.

I highly recommend anyone who is using Paint to have a go at Gimp because it is free and can take your designs to a whole new level. It is more sophisticated than Paint, and it is a lot less constraining. So please give it a try, especially if you have always wanted PS but have never had the money/didn't want to go illegal etc. :thumbsu: :)

Wow, all everyone ever did on this board was complain was about the crows away jumper and now they bring out a new one. Sure they take a risk with an out of the box idea but it looks amazing. I will be buying the jumper first chance i get. I say well done to the crows and don't say some "you only like it because your in a younger generation" bull shit.

And for the Warriors tops, looks very cool and different. But its good that its only a training jersey.

You follow Geelong, and want an Adelaide jumper, are you a closet supporter of the Crows or like to purchase jumpers which you classify as good?

People like collecting guernseys or just like the design

Yeh i do that i have at least thirty that i don't even know what club they're from (i am looking for who they are tho)

My dad does it all the time with the NRL jerseys... when they get under $50 each that is. He just wears them where ever.
One of my pet hates, people who wear gear of sporting teams when they don't support that team.

Why, what's wrong with it?
You ever worn a raiders, Yankees, Liverpool or Bulls shirt?
I know i wear what i like, unlees it's a BLyins crap, Bears or Fitzroy is absolutely fine. I still have an old Bears jersey and a tshirt

Sydney should rest in the glow of knowing they are better than Geelong, and not have to worry about paying someone back for something you think they might have meant.
It is one of the great things that separates our cultures.
How many fights and arguments might have seen settled, instead of physical retaliation to disrespect, with a simple F*** Off and walking away.
The unspoken implication of retaliation is that the comment makes an impression on the hearer.
F*** Off says I don't value your opinion, so you can say what you like because you mean nothing to me.
I was talking to my old man about this the other day.

The day you finish high school is the day you lose a bit of Australian identity.

In school, "**** off, mate" is acceptable. Obviously not in the workplace. I used the example of getting in a jumper punch with a few mates of mine. You'd be playing footy at lunch and you'd be in a shit mood and they'd just piss you off. I said to this mate of mine, who's dad is a notorious prick of a maths teacher, "your dad's a ****ing c--- as well." His retort? "You're f---ing piss weak, mate." And the perfect way to end a jumper punch? "F--- off."

There is something strangely endearing about that. He knew his dad was perennially unhappy and hated his job. I know I'm skinny and my punches hold no weight and we talked normally in the period we had. It's personal but it's not callous or prickish. You are not mates with someone until you feel comfortable with getting in a jumper punch with them. How many countries have that?

"Diss" is lame.

One of my pet hates, people who wear gear of sporting teams when they don't support that team.
To an extent. I could never wear West Coast or Tottenham Hotspur anything. But I value design and I like spending money on clothes. I have Irish and Dutch soccer shirts, despite having no cultural link or fandom of either (I'm sure my family is Irish somewhere down the line, most of us white Australians do. And my surname originated as "pigsty cleaner" in Dutch... that's it). I have a Celtic FC and Sparta Prague shirt as well. Who cares? They're all from the 80s and 90s and I like the look of them. It's not the new Barcelona shirt.
But I could wear a few old, legit woollen jumpers of AFL teams I don't mind.
Also, that Collingwood jumper looks good. Plain and simple. Who cares about the little lines at the top? It adds, um, character.
