They'll never get rid of the problem. There will always be drugs in the AFL. Every club has players who use party drugs and it will stay that way.

I know, that's the sad thing. But if the AFL want to be stricter about drugs, then they need to give more strikes.

And more out-of-the-blue drug tests to catch the lawbreakers!

Its one of those things. I find it depressing & sad.

I will never ever ever understand drugs. Why risk everything for it?

I do admit i hate drugs & growing up all my mates never touched drugs. We had the occasional drink as 17 18 yo's after a big day playing sports but never even considered it.

I went to the Hawthorn training session the day before the 2012 GF. Luke Hodge walked past me on the way down to the ground. I said "Good luck tomorrow Hodgey". He replied with "Cheers buddy", then shook my hand.

The exact same thing happened with Shane Crawford the day before 2008. Both top blokes. Culture?

It would be easier to back up my 'argument' had Chick not originally come from Hawthorn.

I was at one time. Loved the Iceman (George Gervin, #44). Also liked the Nets and Dr. J. And the Floridians. (Those unis!!)

But those were the days of the ABA. Once the ABA was absorbed into the NBA, it wasn't too many seasons until I completely lost interest in pro basketball here.
