Cool story. Who'd you play for and what position? I love how the design has basically never changed. These days, the back only has adidas, there's no trefoil logo. Contemplating getting another pair for this season. You only live once, or so they say.
Old Essendon Grammar in the VAFA, now called PEGS.
Most people thought my ideal position was Left Right Out.
However I played on a wing, sometimes a Forward Flank.

So im guessing you own a 80's essendon lace up?
No, my dad had one, he gave it to my mate's mum. who was a massive Vander Haar fan.
When my mate had his own little boy, his mum brought "Vanda's lace-up" into the hospital and gave it to them.
Year later he found out his brother in law was dating Vanda's cousin, and he asked if she could get Vanda to sign it.
Everyone agreed this was an awesome idea, so she took the jumper to a family function and brought it out of the plastic bag.
Vanda starts crying "my premiership jumper, where did you get it?"
Err, no, it's not yours, it belongs to Mero's mate.
"No. He's not getting it back, it's my 84-85 premiership jumper. They wouldn't give me another lace-up so I used it again in 86. Then when I went looking for it they said it had been thrown out. And I've been searching for it ever since. This is mine."
Cut a long story short, he arranged to get a Matty Lloyd jumper and he and Lloydy both signed it. So my mate has a #18 jumper, signed by Vanda and Lloydy, but not the lace-up.
I have Garry Foulds' jumper though.

Ouch ouch. Poor bloke. It would suck to have to give it back. But i guess it was his looking back vanda was prob 2 busy out the back smoking his fags to looks where his jumper webt. i bet ya vanda has it framed out in his house out ringwood way.

What a footballer & to think he only trained one night a week because of basketball commitments.

Just a off question but have you ever been approched to sell merchndise on your site?
Imagine a site that just sold repo lace up jumpers... Would be amazing.

Get a load of the beard. Still going strong...

Pretty disappointed about this morning, Silent Alarm. Abhorrent defending by both sides and neither team deserved to win.
Liverpool's first goal was... there were at least six under 9s level errors from Arsenal. Players slipping over, missing the ball completely. Pretty embarrassing stuff. Every goal but Arsenal's first were great finishes, verrry tidy goals.

Our first goal was really the result of a comedy of errors. But ****, Giroud has hit some form.

Been approached, but always to buy large numbers of jumpers and carry stock.
When I suggest I could really only sell one-offs they all go missing.
As far as lace-up jumpers, I don't even know who would make them these days in Aus.
It's hard enough to find someone who can make the old style acrylic jumpers.
Everyone wants to make sublimated, and then they want to sell 10 or more.

I emailed Gavin from Jax.
They make the old style lace-ups, but they only sell them in minimum groups of 10.
Useless to me, unless I buy 10 and hope to sell them all.
If 10 people on here were interested, all could chip in equal, plus a bit more for shipping (since 9 of them have to be shipped out from someone to the others).

Wondering if Holden is destined to appear on Pies jumpers soon?

lmach do you think you'll fork out for the right to park at uni? After saving a couple hundred on second hand text books, I think I might but I still don't like paying for a car park that won't exist until I've finished.

I probably will, not really keen on catching the bus or parking outside of Uni. How much is it?

That's 10 in the same design.
So that's 10 Collingwood, or 10 Essendon, not 10 different designs.
I was thinking that particular jumper. The Port Magpies or maybe even a lace up Fitzroy I would think could attract 10 buyers who wouldn't normally buy a Power or Brisbane jumper. ;) I would buy. I think others on here might feel the same about purchasing a classic jumper like that.

You can already buy a Port Magpies one from the Power Megastore ;)
