I was Bayern but I didn't want to be a glory hunter so I switched to Dortmund...hehe.
 
Why do people feel the need to support a team (team's in some cases) for every league?

I don't understand teams but the Bundesliga is a good watch and i'm a fan of Germany as a country(not football just the country itself). Only follow it and the EPL.

Don't understand the need to attach yourself to a team in every major league like France, Spain, Italy etc. I don't have enough time to watch every league nor do i care to - why bother even claiming to support a team in those leagues?

Not having a go at you, by the way. My dad was born in Germany so I also follow it quite a bit. IMO, German sides also play the best brand of football in the world. I don't have a team though, but I did use to play with Shalke in Fifa.
 
I get where you're coming from, people tend to just tack themselves onto a team for no apparent reason with no connection, and never watch games. I don't understand it either.

I do enjoy German football culture though, would absolutely love to go to some games at various stadia. Crowds are huge.
 
Yeah agreed.

I only show full interest in the A-League and am starting to get around the EPL.

That will be more than enough for me.

I'm a Australian/European and I call it Football. I'm sure many on here agree.
+ Americans and Canadians are mixed up. The NFL uses hands as well.

This. Except my dad is not a Germanican.

The Bundesliga is the best competition to watch in the world. Dortmund are (rightfully) fawned over and this season they're languishing. If you took out Bayern Munich's money you'd have undisputedly the coolest league around. I really love the way teams don't attempt to play like Spain, Barca, or Arsenal. Tika-taka is so boring. There is skill required for a long ball that drops perfectly at the foot of a striker, or a through ball that skittles past defenders, draws out a keeper, and lets a forward finish-ala-Thierry Henry.

Saying that, I don't watch it enough to watch a single side enough so I don't have a team.

The other good league is the Eredivisie. Heaps of wing play and beautifully lofted balls, but the pedigree of players is obviously that nudge lower.
 
EPL & AFL is plenty for me, a little bit of NBA on the side but I wouldn't say I "follow" it religiously like I do the others. Keeping up with any more than two leagues is time-consuming
