One of my best mates is a sports nut and will follow absolutely everything except for soccer (like me he has a bit of taste ). Footy is his favourite but he also absolutely loves the NBA and follows it really closely. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed though and is pretty easy to fool. The other day he was over my house playing NBA on my xbox and we were talking about the lockout. I then managed to convince him that the NBA has now announced that it will be in lockout forever and the competition will have to disband because they can't afford to pay the players the amount that they're asking for. I also convinced him that Kobe Bryant is going to play for the 36ers and there is a fair chance that LeBron James is going to have a crack in the AFL The poor kid's devastated every time I bring up the topic now
I also managed to convince him that dogs can talk to their owners and almost got him to buy a pack of vodka cruisers instead of beer that night too

I'm actually intrigued as to how you guys all dress...

Depends what the occasion is really.
-At home I'm happy to slob around in footy shorts and jumpers, beach I'll go above-knee boardies and singlets, casual will be plain v-neck or wide neck w/pocket on left tit worn with rolled up jean shorts. Partying will be a button up shirt of some sort worn with a pair of skinny jeans, depending on colours matching. In terms of shoes, I would generally go for my Chuck Taylors or laced espadrills of some sort. Jackets, but I'm happy to wear slim fit knitted style ones or light washed denim.
-The don'ts for me are flat peaked caps (especially these "snapback"
ones. I've never really worn hats anyway), high top/fat shoes, basketball singlets (overworn by people).

I too spend way too much on clothing (two years ago I didn't really, but things change). Hey, nothing wrong with making an effort to look good .

I don't really follow it much. I certainly don't mind watching it or talking about it but its too hard to follow religiously without Fox I reckon. There's so many teams and so many games on at random times throughout the week that its just impossible to keep up with the competition. Don't even know if they still show it anymore (or as often anyway) now that One HD has changed anyway. In the winter I watch too much footy to be able to keep a close eye on anything else anyway.
I don't really support anyone specifically but I do like the Heat, Lakers and Magic.

Yeh not a follower of the NBA either Ochre. Good for the people that do, just nothing in it to make me care (kind of like the English Premier League) and this whole lockout situation makes the players look like a bunch of greedy bastards to someone on the outside.

Not really, I'll watch it if its on but I won't go out of my way to sit down at say 7:00 on a Saturday night and watch it. Same thing, if I see the scores or an article on the internet or in the paper I'll read it but I won't go out of my way to find these. I don't really know much about it really, I've only just started trying to get into it the past year or so I know most of the rules and I know most of the stars but apart from that I don't know a thing. As I said, I don't even really have a team that I 'support'

One thing I've always wondered, why is the A-League played in the summer Isn't soccer supposed to be a winter sport, and be played the same time that local clubs play too? Is it just because they know they can't compete with the AFL?
