Okay, this may be a sensitive topic for some but I'm interested to hear people's opinions on this, ones that differ from the naive views of people at my school.
What are your thoughts on 'casual' smoking? Do you believe there is such a thing?
Do you think it's okay to vehemently argue that smoking is bad for you and that it kills you, but then to disregard that while at a party drinking and dismiss the idea for that very reason - you're at a party?
What do you think of people who say "I'm not addicted, I only smoke at parties?" Do you believe it's just ignorance to their addiction?
I understand that everyone is entitled to how they want to behave, but that being said I wouldn't mind hearing some opinions from the more senior members of the board.

I promised him so many times that I will NEVER smoke and now that he's dead there is no way I can ever break that promise!
Well, if they genuinely can "only smoke at parties", then who is to discredit it? Yet the addictiveness of smoking is undeniable. However, ones personal circumstances may decipher their ability to cope with an addictive substance. How long have they smoked? How is their willpower? If you pit cigarettes against, say, meth, will then perhaps you can have a social smoker. I believe you can have a functioning cocaine addict, and a social marijuana smoker.Okay, this may be a sensitive topic for some but I'm interested to hear people's opinions on this, ones that differ from the naive views of people at my school.
