I am after a computer tablet, one is out at officeworks atm but am unsure if to go with that or wait. Anyone exerience one or is waiting?

How do you like the Windows Phone 7 OS? I had a play around with it and it was different, but good.

The UI is really clean and easy to navigate through, much more so than any other OS imo. Just the font looks really sweet. The Live Tiles on the front make a lot of sense, however it would be nice to have three across instead of just two. Still a great idea.

Email works very well, pushes through about every 10 minutes I think. The People function is great and if you have Facebook, it syncs all your friends seamlessly. Great for when some birds on FB put their number on and you have it delivered straight to your phone ;):thumbsu:

Foxtel is a bloody good app which comes straight with the phone on Telstra. Remote Record coupled with iQ is great. TelstraOne sticks all the latest news and sport as well as account details etc. in one place. They also have a weather forecast but it's not that good.

IE Mobile is ok, tabs work fairly well, nice and fast and on par with iPhone imo. Pinch to zoom works well but the lack of copy and paste has burnt me so far. Will be coming in the next software update supposedly this month though.

Camera, 8 megapixel, not that I use it that much but it's a nice feature. Believe it has 720p HD video recording too but haven't checked. Pictures is very focused on visuals and works nicely. The calendar feature is ok, can sync with your Google Calendar but couldn't sync more than one calendar from each account so I ended up shelving it.

Music and video player looks very slick and syncs on the computer with Zune. Games hub integrates with Xbox Live, achievements avatar etc. can be seen on your phone. Microsoft Office mobile is great - especially OneNote which is under-rated.

For weather, I only ever go with something from the BoM so I've found a couple of great apps on the Marketplace. On that point the Marketplace hasn't really filled out with great apps yet, a lot are just absolute worthless shit but a handy feature is that you can try before you buy.

Favourite apps:
Facebook - Looks so slick, preferring it over iPhone version, can check in and do everything else bar chat, although that's buggy anyway.
BloghuB - Can post to Blogger, Wordpress etc. on the go. Supports rich text editing. 5 bucks which is sorta stiff however everything on the WP Marketplace is overpriced.
Converter - Currency, weight, temperature, much more, and no stupid ads. Something that the iPhone should have built in. I believe this is one of the HTC exclusive apps.
AU Weather Pro - Uses BoM data, heaps of info and can customise locations via GPS. Perfect and what I need. Happy to pay 3 bucks or whatever it is.
AU Radar - Made by the same people, shows animated BoM radars updated from around the country. Bit of a bugger that they aren't together in the one app but I guess this guy is just money hungry. Good customer support though - $1.70

Looks ok - a pretty hefty investment if it's a gameplay fizzer (as some critics expect) Gibbsy! :p

Should be a huge improvement graphically on the 2004 (?) ps2 version, but it'll never reach the heights of FIFA, NBA 2K, Tiger Woods etc., as you can expect from just an Aussie game.

From the screenshots I've seen they've still managed to stuff up the back of the Eagle's home jumper, with the panels on the back going up closer to the numbers and the sponsor's logo covering a portion of it.

Oh well, can't fault anything else in terms of the kit designs (yet), even the shorts look spot on.

Lack of a HSBC logo on the back of the Hawks guernsey is an odd omission. Someone said it may have something to do with licensing as it has been absent before.

AFL Live isnt all I'm getting the PS3 for :p
There's also NBA 2K11, FIFA 11... basically every sports game looks better, plays better and has more features on the next gen consoles compared to the Wii. The only game I would actually prefer on Wii is Tiger Woods 11 - that shit is insanely real in terms of 1-to-1 motion control when combined with the MotionPlus accessory. Great graphics for a Wii game too.

What about yourself Smeags, you a PS3 or Xbox man?

A friend of mine has this - another friend has it on Xbox.
As with many Australian games, it has its share of glitches as it's likely to have been rush released. (Cricket 97 for PC, anyone???)

Always thought it weird that your full forward was automatically the captain.

I remember some odd Cometti-isms like "uncorking the genie".
