I've been getting the footy record every game I've been to since about 05 I think. Have a massive collection, literally hundreds of them in a few huge boxes. I think I have every GF Record since 06 and just about all the Heritage round records in those years too. I often read them when I'm bored.

Likewise. I've got a massive collection of Big Leagues and AFL Records that I love trawling through on a lazy day.

I had to trash a lot of my old records when doing a massive clean out of the house a couple of years ago. I kept all the ones of significance, but got rid of the weekly Collingwood ones that had no real importance.
Have been collecting GF records since 1999. Another one of my faves is the International Rules record Australia vs Ireland from 2001. It's got a glossy silver cover.

Shame about having to trash them. I've got GFs dating back to 1993 that family have given me or I bought. Bought the finals subscription from slattery media this year and have got them sent. I don't care what some people say, they are always worth the lazy fiver, tenner or $15.

Changed my team for finals now ;)

Really have a good feeling about this and love the way they're going about their footy!!!

Finals jumper rulings are really murky. It's just an exemplary indictment of the AFL's uniform policy.

In finals, the team who finished higher wear their home jumper. For basically all games, this means the home team wears their home uniform.

But there are occurrences where this doesn't occur. An example being tonights game, and the West Coast - Carlton game. When it's like that, both teams are allowed to wear their home tops. But the team with the most white are made to wear white shorts - ala Collingwood, West Coast.

The 'home' team in Grand Finals is dictated by the toss of a coin.

Alright scrap that, very disappointed in tonights final result :( I think even pies fans will admit that they didn't deserve to win tonight but thats footy for ya! Very entertaining game nevertheless but I honestly think the pies are in a bit of strife next week, provided the cats beat the eagles. Should be an interesting game next week.

Anyway, thats all from me tonight. I'm goin to bed, gotta be up in good time for the local league GF tomorrow. Might call into the AFL Store nearby when I'm there too. Apparantly its shutting down so they're clearing out all stock for reduced prices. #32 on my Port guernsey and hopefully a hawks home, GC home and/or Port clash depending on prices and availability.

Wow. I haven't been to a better game live. Amazing atmosphere, and having the Collingwood faithful around me... hugging strangers, screaming my lungs out... made it all so much better. I love our game. :thumbsu:

Was it as loud as they were saying on the telly?
I hope you got a lifetime ban for such behaviour.:)

Haha. The COLLINGWOOD chant went throughout the MCG walkways long after the game had finished. I didn't hear a single siren throughout the whole match. After Luke Ball's goal everyone just went nuts.

Terrible night for a Hawks supporter. But I couldn't be prouder of our boys, they did everything they could to win against the best team in the comp, there were no passengers. Just if a few little things had gone our way, who knows. But that's footy. But to think I had tickets for the GF next week had we made it :(

Bring on next year :thumbsu: hopefully it'll be something special for the Hawks.

My thoughts exactly. I actually feel worse this morning than I did last night.

It was a really good game last night. Was going for the Hawks 'cause I have a general Lions hate for Collingwood. IMO there were a couple of crucial umpiring decisions which may have swayed the game. I'm going for any team but Collingwood in the Grand Final :p

Maybe next year since red and black and charcoal and orange could clash, and we're bound to play GWS twice (one home, one away)

Doubt GWS will make finals though like sighclone suggested :p

Thinking Melbourne, GC, W Bulldogs and Adelaide would be more likely to play them twice though. Melbourne because of $cully, GC for the novelty and Adelaide and the Dogs because we lost players to both new teams, and they were the first two to announce it.

Everyone change your teams this week in support of the GF. Just for a bit of a cool novelty, I've changed mine to Geelong ;)
