I'm excited to see the Jaegerbomb play, myself. Even though it won't be for my team.
Wouldn't it be funny if the kid turns out to be a dud at the top level after all the hype he's gotten. The way he's been talked up is ridiculous.
Seems a bit more useful as a forward than ruck to me. Didn't play an awful lot in the ruck this season. If Sandilands needs a quality backup then he'd be the man....

Clark needs to play ruck imo. In 2009 he played ruck majority of the season due to a Leuenberger injury (?) and played much better there than in the forward line.

Next year, should Sandilands be fully fit, we'll have a ruckman who can be the best in the competition. Behind him, Zac Clarke, who will turn out to be a very fine ruckman (considering Clarke's handy in the role now, and, rucks develop a little later, he should be great) an then an okay back-up in Jon Griffin (who isn't looking to go anywhere).
We need a much better key position forward.

I have no idea why we didn't get a player from the Hawks for Gunston, if you ask me draft picks are overrated, there's about a 50-50 chance the guys we draft will turn out to be duds and not have what it takes at AFL level.

Btw HARPS, noticed your signature and thought I may add that I high-fived Kieran Harper when the roos beat Port this year Also high-fived 90% of the GC team (including the Gary Ablett ) when they beat us. For that reason, and that we didn't win the spoon, I am actually happy we lost that game

One game I went to when I was 6, Port V Carlton (when Carlton was crap and Port were good) the ferals were throwing food at me. I'm not a bloody zoo animal My Dad sorted the ferals out, and then one said to the other guy, Yeah, cmon, don't be a Crows supporter!
Crows fans aren't like that. I should know, I was a member of Adelaide

The 'feral' tag is very much a stereotype tbh with you. I'll admit there are a few but there's plenty of those from every club if you look around. I'm a season ticket holder of Port so go pretty well every fortnight and don't really have any problems with many around me. I've seen plenty of feral Adelaide fans too. I think the problem is that Port Adelaide is not the most rich area of the state, which is why a lot of people get this perception.
Anyway, I have no problem with the GC. Surely couldn't pass up an opportunity to get around the big man himself anyway I was with a few of my brother's mates (who hate port) so I really just followed them. Mind you, I think Gazza gave me a bit of a strange look when he high-fived a bloke in a port guernsey With the exception of Adelaide, I will support any non-victorian team over a victorian team. The other exception is Hawthorn, for some reason I like them a lot too.

'The draft' isn't until November
Clubs are able to trade their picks this week though in order to help get deals done. This year there is also a 'mini draft' which will be held on Monday. Here GWS is given 4 picks (I think) which they are not allowed to use and instead have to trade. These allow clubs to pick from 17 year olds who are ineligible for this years draft. Potentially these players would have been the top 4 picks of next year. Essentially Adelaide has just traded for the #2 Pick of next year's draft, if that makes sense. These players cannot play until 2013 though.
