Can any Hawks fans shed some light on Sierakowski? Seems a way left field trade for us, hope it works out.
He's been on our rookie list for a few years now. Good half back type with great foot skills. Half expected us to elevate him this year and get a few games into him. Was named in our emergencies a few times this year. I suspect we traded him because we would have got rid of him otherwise, but this is the sort of move that could come back to bite us on the butt. Could be a very handy player.

Tredders? Tredrea?

My love for that guy is indescribable  Was my favourite player, absolutely devastated when he retired :( Even shed a tear when he did his lap of honour at AAMI  Such an underrated player though. If he played for anyone else would have been regarded as an absolute champion. At least he went out in a good way though, didn't think that would happen.

Found this hilarious though when I typed his name into Google images :p

Watching Sydney FC vs Brisbane Roar. A few points so far:

* I really love the way the Roar go about their game style. Always attacking, their through balls are full of class.
* Nicky Carle is an ugly, ugly man.
* The Sydney FC cheersquad have a chant which sounds way too much like Baby by Justin Bieber.

Maybe it is 'Baby'? When the Prem was on SBS, I'd sit with my dad every Monday night (at 7.30) and watch the highlights. I remember a lot of supporters would sing "heeeeeey hey baby, ooooh-argh - I wannaargh knooo-oo-oo if you'll be myy girl". What's that song called?

And can you got embarrassed on the internet? Because typing out those lyrics made me quite red faced...

Yep. no relation though. Thank god. Anytime I meet someone who knows the slightest thing about AFL I get the "...are you related?" question. Ironic thing is, my family's all Adelaide supporters.

Surely you could trace down some sort of relation with a name as great and as uncommon as that

Glory Shed boys sing that all the time when Perth are kicking to their end...
He-ey glory, ooh, ahh; i wanna knooow... if you'll score a goal [in front, of the shed]
Yeah internet karaoke's not my thing either mate!

Hey Baby (If you'll be my girl), DJ Otzi.

UUUGGHH, I hate soccer. It's like watching paint dry, nothing ever happens. Just my opinion I guess.

More ontopic to this forum but what do you West Coast fans think about Brad Ebert departing your club? What did you think of him as a player and do you consider him a significant loss to your club and its future? Has anyone heard what the latest on the deal is too? Is it looking like our priority pick or are Port still adamant that's off the table?

Yep soccer dominated my life for close to six years. I was football through and through. Then I moved next door to this kid, who was a huge soccer fan, and I got into it as well. So from ages 7 to 13, I played soccer. I'm back at footy now, but prior to one or two years ago, I was all about the round ball. I still adore footy and football (I don't call it soccer, really) equally.

I'm a fan of any sport, except Rugby League, golf and curling (how the hell is that a sport?) I'm equal between Soccer and AFL can't choose one.

When the soccer season is over, I am so bored, waiting for AFL to start. After the Grand Final, the only soccer is the EPL. Gets boring without sport. :(

I don't really follow anything else religously except for cricket, mainly because there's not enough regularly on free-to-air. Otherwise I don't mind a bit of Rugby (how can you not like that Andonis????), basketball or anything except for soccer really. Must admit, I would probably get into it a bit more if I had Foxtel. Gridiron is a bit too slow and tactical for me too tbh. Good when it gets going but they stop every 5 seconds. I remember one day me and my dad turned it on while we were eating lunch. In about half an hour they only played something like 45 seconds
Golf obviously isn't too exciting to watch but its great fun to play. Thought it would be too frustrating for me but we did it in PE at school this year and now that I've got a bit of technique I quite enjoy it actually. Went for a bit of a hit yesterday actually :)
And curling, I don't know anyone who plays/supports that here. Its pretty big in Canada I think but I've never seen or heard anything of it over here in Australia. Don't really know where you plucked that one out of tbh ;) It's not one of the first few sports that pops into my head anyway

Btw guys, its not 'AFL', the whole country doesn't play in one big league. Soccer is given the name soccer in countries such as here, the USA and Ireland to avoid confusion between other national codes. Really gets me when people say that. Its 'football', 'footy' or at least 'Aussie rules' and soccer is 'soccer', hence why the national team is called the Socceroos.
