That's sickening. I've never actually seen somebody get hit, but I've come close myself a couple of few times stepping out onto the road without noticing cars.

This maybe a sensitive topic for some, but who else gets really pissed off at cyclists who seem to think they own the road? It is the bane of my life trying not to sideswipe them when driving.

It wasn't the fault of the kid. Perhaps he should've slown down just through conservative thoughts. You know, "just in case this driver's a meth addict, I'll slow...". But it is his road as much as anyone elses. Still feel pretty weird about it...

I still have a Wii, barely been touched though since I got my PS3 eight or so months ago. FIFA 09 All-Play was king. Swing the remote to shoot, and all the gimmicky stuff that came with it. The 8v8 Footii mode topped it off - big head players and great fun with mates.

Yes! I loved the game. Footi Party is fantastic. :thumbsu:

Just saw some poor f.uc.king kid get hit.

We were at an intersection. The sixteen, seventeen year old was on his scooter. This car pulls out. They both just went into each other. It just unfolded. I could see it happening, almost in slow motion, and I can still see it pretty clearly. The impact was surreal. The whole even was surreal. I actually thought the poor kid was dead...

Yet he got up, shaking as a leaf. I think most people stopped through pure fear, shock, and surrealism. My dad got out, pat him on the shoulder, and said "mate, f.uck.ing hell, it's your lucky day". It was. He escaped without any blood being loss, without any scratches - when really, he shouldn't be alive... I'm probably carrying on, but it was very hard to watch.

That's horrible SA. Can't imagine what it'd be like to witness that- just lucky that he wasn't too badly hurt. An old friend of mine got really badly injured after being hit by a car a few months ago. He survived okay, had a lot of operations and damage to his body but made a pretty miraculous revoery considering he was very close to being in a critical condition.

Worst thing I've witnessed...

Saw this guy walk into a bottle shop I was in, I knew something was up, he just had that look about him. Any way, I watched in horror as he picked up a bottle of wine and smashed it over the shipowners head, he was immediately knocked out, had massive gauges in his head and face and glass everywhere, blood was all over the shop.

What did you do after that?

Alcohol's a bad thing, even I know that ;)

One of many reasons I don't go near alcohol.

Exams start on Monday for me. Just enjoying my week off, mainly in the pool.

I can see your point of view, but I see roads as being for everyone, and everyone should share and be considerate each way. There are just as many drivers who speed around like complete ****wits thinking they own the road.

It wouldnt have been alcohol.
There are dangers with everything though. You hear those absurd statistics about it being more likely to be killed by a coconut than to be eaten by a shark. And then that's more likely than being killed in your car. Everything has a danger, but it shouldn't stop you from enjoying your life. I mean, you don't have to drink to have a good time. But there are exceptions to everything.

I'm not criticising you, I can understand your sentiments entirely (the culture can be quite appalling), I'm just saying it's good to have an open mind.

Tbh I don't drink alcohol because I don't, and I didn't in my teens, see the point. Sure, one or two drinks doesn't do any harm, but when I'm at a pub I'd just rather have a coke. And I do enjoy being able to drive around at night not worried about how much I've had to drink (not that I drive often). It's probably just a family thing, my dad didn't drink, neither did my mum or her parents.

And to clarify once again, I was talking about what EFH said, not what silent alarm said.
