Mackems are from sunderland, generally a term for the football club. A bit like "geordies".

The sheer thought of them makes me shudder. Although we usually beat them :p.

Nobody macks onto bids.
And biddy, I know it in "OLD BIDDY"... so unless you teens or South Australians are into shagging grandmothers...?

For years in Victoria, we've had a crack rather than had a mack... and girls complain about random guys cracking onto them.

Nah, we're not that whacked! If anything I thought that would've been a Victorian teen thing :p
A 'crack' is like trying to get with someone, but a 'mack' is when you literally begin eating someone's face  Here's another one you interstaters might not know. 'Tuning'?

Ahh slang terms, making it impossible to understand other people from other regions since god knows when.

:D:thumbsu:

Yeah there are a few shockers around eh.

People must think us Victorians are weird for drinking pots of beer, when you'd use pots on the stove.

For the record, I don't pronounce "castle" to rhyme with "tassle" or "hassle". "Castle" rhymes with "parcel"!

I have to agree with you PAFC on "tuning". :thumbsu: Doesn't happen if you don't do some "Gary Groundwork" though - and no, I didn't make that up!

For some reason I have actually heard "biddies" be used over the last couple of months, never was really said in our area though. "Birds" is the more common term. I have to concur with "mackin' on" too, as much as it pains me. These are all part of the teenage vernacular now.

Nah, they're all quality words! I love 'em :thumbsu: Good to see that bids is catching on round your way too, probably just about the most used word in my vocabulary :) Bids > birds ;) Tune the bids, then mack onto them then find another one

Biddies is used at my school for BFFL. The year 8 girls mainly use it, which drives me up the wall, but I have heard a few, lets just say not straight people at my school use it aswell...

Either they're using it sarcaistically or like most silly year 8s (no offence Andonis, we were all there once) don't know the real meaning of the word. Unless you're getting mixed up with biffle or something? Anyway, it means attractive girl Andonis.

I have no idea what the hell "vodders" is.

Do any people know this acronym - someone in the area started it up on Facebook and it's caught on like wildfire - "ftgz"

May have seen ftgz once or twice but have no idea what it means

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Forgot To Get Zach??

Lol no. That is wild. It actually stands for "for the guyz," originally created to take the piss out of people who use acronyms all the time. now everyone does it as a joke

Never heard of 'biddies' or anything like that. Even with the somewhat geography-defying internet, Western Australia is still behind...

Is 'vodders' vodka? Kids say that around here, but that's just lazy shortening.
