Then why are you saying it? He's clearly one of the best players in the comp if not the best.

Because it's my opinion, and everyone says he is the best in the comp but there are way better players then him such as Judd, Murphy, Bartel, Selwood, Buddy, Rioli and that is just of the top of my head. Same goes for Dane Swan he is OVERRATED

Ablett is better than all of those players you just listed (Buddy is better as a forward obviously), maybe in a few years some of those players may overtake him.

Why then? He's the only good player in an otherwise crap team. He constantly performs, he's working harder at Gold Coast than he ever did at Geelong with a very inexperienced midfield around him. He's covering more of the ground, trying to set up more play, trying to keep the team going even when they're down by more than 10 goals in the fourth quarter, he's a captain leading by example, and he's still one of the best players in the entire competition in a team that will linger around the bottom of the ladder for the next 2-3 years.

So for what reason is he so overrated? Or are you just as young and naive as some of the other BigFooty members on here and just post for the sake of posting, leaving statements without reason.

Yes I am, though they're still great players.


Ablett has been better than Judd for a few years now and Selwood is still improving but Ablett is better than both of them.

And nah even when he played at Geelong and people said he was the best I beleived there where better players not only in the AFL but at Geelong aswell. And I honestly dont mind him being at the Suns, he has helped them alot and I am a SUNS member and they are my second team

I've not seen footy related talk here for months. Ablett is far from overrated, everything good that is said about him is absolutely true. Future Hall of Famer for sure.
