I've been listening to Kanye all out for basically the last month. Every album like 20 times over. My last.fm profile is www.last.fm/user/mattgibbs95 - that basically covers everything I like. Mainly hip-hop and indie

I mostly listen to Coldplay, Nigahiga and whatever the popular songs at the moment are.

I've never heard of any of these artists except for Kanye West, Kid cudi, Hilltop Hoods, Bliss n eso, Bob Dylan, Nirvana and The Beatles.

I wish Bowakawa. Didn't have the cash for BDO at the time unfortunately.

The artists that have probably impacted the most are Kanye and Panic! at the Disco. I really do love them. All three albums are so different but I can appreciate them all in a different way. I'm a massive Two Door Cinema Club fan too.

Yup, like them a lot... I also like birds... (GEDDIT) :p

Yep, I remember when I discovered The Beatles.

I was 14 and in America and The Beatles Rock Band was about a week from coming out... because we had to do a lot of driving interstate we listened to a lot of radio and pretty much EVERY station was just playing Beatles to advertise/celebrate the game's release, I absolutely fell in love and got my dad to buy me the game when we got back to Australia, where I even further fell in love.

Once I had played every song on the game about 10 times, I made the fantastic discovery that we had every single Beatles record on vinyl inside our record player, I listened to every record pretty much straight, it was magical.

I've never stopped listening since :thumbsu:

I started listening last year while driving from Montreal to New York, my host family weren't into music at all except for their son. The whole trip down we listened to The Beatles and other bands from the 70s/80s, mainly from the list that Rolling Stone magazine made of their top 500. Listen to them everyday now on the way to school. Great band. Great band.

Typical 12 year old :p

And Gibbsy... I like Good Morning and N****s in Paris by Kanye :thumbsu:

Dont like all the Illuminati stuff about him though :thumbsd:

I was lucky, my sister bought me a ticket for my Birthday, it was so f***ing hot, and we had to stay out all day to see Cage The Elephant who were on at like 11am, then to Kanye who played from like 10pm - 12am, but it was so ****ing worth it, he gave me a hi-5

Gibbsy, how does last.fm work?

I don't really know the full premise, but I'm pretty sure its flagship service is a tailored internet radio station for your own musical interests. I don't use it for that, I just it to track my play counts and to recommend different music, but I think that's the drawcard. It hooks up to your iTunes so whenever you listen to songs it automatically "scrobbles" to your profile

Well, I know they were high when they wrote it. But that's about it.
Haha, well yep, John said he wrote each verse on a different acid trip...

But the idea behind it was that a kid wrote John a letter, saying that in his music class they were analysing his lyrics, trying to work out metaphors and messages John used in his songwriting... so he got the fantastic idea to write a song like "I am the Walrus" to confuse anyone who was trying to make something out of it... :p
