Best selling would be Mario Call of Duty, Madden and FIFA streets ahead of the rest.
Best quality is obviously a person's opinion

And yes, I know you all desperately want my opinion so here's my top 5 franchises.

1. Ratchet and Clank
Daylight
2. Pokemon
3. Portal
4. Uncharted
5. Rocksteady's Batmans

Honorable mentions to Mario, Call Of Duty, Resistance and plenty others I can't think of atm.

got the first two right, Wii series doesnt count, there's no way Cod has sold only 100 million units.

Final Fantasy, GTA and Sims were bad misses though. Tetris again doesnt count as it was given away with Gameboys.

Sidenote: Good effort by Ratchet to sell 25 million.

As much as its gone to shit Cod 1 and 2 were very good games (apparently, never played them) and Cod 4 is the greatest game of all time. Before IW destroyed it with MW2 (still the worst game of all time) it was a damn good series.

Was good until Activision started to milk it, COD 4 had a good multiplayer but I didn't really like the single player. Never understood how people can buy every new COD when it's basically the same game.

What's wrong with MW2? I've only played MW and MW2 casually and I thought they were both alright, but I'm not a big fan of FPS in general.
