After his move, Borini revealed that Italy team-mate Mario Balotelli was responsible for urging him to join Liverpool because Balotelli claimed the club (Liverpool) has the most exciting fans.
Maybe Balotelli should join Liverpool then............

As some of the teams I support have been listed as glory hunter teams I think I should reply to the points on what makes a glory hunter.

1. Someone who supports the most successful clubs at the time

When I began to support the international clubs I support they may have been higher up in their leagues but I was also quite young and with the television broadcasts that were available (mostly finals) that would be the only time I would get to see a team. With that being said if I had followed the first clubs I watched I know I would be a Bills or Cowboys fan in the NFL.

Actually I remember that I started following Green Bay before their first Superbowl appearance in the 90's because I loved the interviews with their players that were shown before the game.

2. Has little knowledge of the club's true history, and has never been to a game

Haven't been to any international games, but that is because of financial issues, watching my teams is a major item on my to do list.

Have a fairly good knowledge of the clubs/teams I support.

3. Overuses phrases and mottoes (ie: YNWA)

Never

4. Right now, they are Manchester united, Barcelona, and AC Milan fans who mainly live in the US.

I am none of these.

5. Someone who will switch from one team to the next once they start losing

I support the Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSWRL (and previously in the ARL) this year they went 0-24 with a points differential of -1120 (yes, minus one thousand, one hundred and twenty {pf = 280, pa = 1400}) and I still love them.

That enough proof??? :D

6. Someone who gets deeply involved in petty internet fights (ronaldo vs. messi, soccer vs football, etc.)

I support my teams players but won't get petty.

7. Someone who tries to justify when their team did not do well, even though they probably haven't even heard of them at the time (ie: Franco helped Real Madrid)

Always have justification for why!!!

8. Gloaters

Everyone gloats when their team wins.

9. Most of them support every single team who's top in the table of their respective leagues at once

As I said at the top, at the time and at the age I was (10ish) that was sometimes the only way I got to hear about or see the teams I support. However once I chose them I have never changed and have been willing to learn as much as I can about them and their histories.

But those other sports actually have competent* refs not on strike.

*refs may not always actually be competent. But they'll at least be better then the NFL replacement refs.
Dont get me started

Andonis1997 , if you changed the colours of your avatar to orange, jade green, teal blue and white it'd be the perfect representation of late 80s early 90s marketing :p
It would make a great Olympic logo for London 2012, don't you think? :P

What about WS Wanderers? They're pretty successful.

I follow Australian teams for different reasons than international ones and it is more like the way people overseas support their teams.

Basically it all comes down to locality for me, I did support Sydney FC (still kind of do I guess) as they were the only Sydney team, however now there is a club based around the area where I live and has a community feel to it compared to the corporate feel of Sydney FC, so naturally I migrated across.

It was similar for me with rugby league, I was first a Newcastle Knights supporter. I was 3 or 4 when they started and happened to live up that way. But when I moved back down to Sydney (was 5) I was in Magpies territory and was actually able to go to their games so I began to follow them which then meant that I became a Wests Tigers fan when they merged with Balmain, however, if it had been anyone else that would have been a different story.

The same with the Swans, however I had a better connection with them than Sydney FC so even with GWS I still am a Swans supporter (though I do have a second club type following of the Giants, but the Swans are still no.1).

Packers/Seahawks game, thoughts?

Really do not get me started on that one, watched it live, and .................... well, lets just leave it at that

Andonis1997, how did you get into craegus' account?

^^Exactly the same for me. But of course, it's wrong to have a second team and no-one's going to care about anyone else having a second team apart from me.

Told you.

All you people need to stop following shit sports like Basketball and Soccer and start following NFL.

Why can't we follow all three? OR ,how about neither, and you all follow the NHL. Exciting times happening over there

*crickets*

It's not the same. You support 2 completely different teams that have existed for a decent length of time. I have had "secondary" teams thrown on top of me without doing anything.

Also, I "support" the Giants, but I support the Swans.

There's nothing like seeing these sigs:

COLLINGWOOD | MANCHESTER UNITED
MELBOURNE VICTORY | DALLAS COWBOYS
LA LAKERS | REAL MADRID
MELBOURNE TIGERS | AC MILAN
NY YANKEES | CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS

I really don't understand why people feel the need to display every single team they have a fleeting interest for (and it's always in the team colours :D)

I love and watch Collingwood and Man City every week. I would find it hard to follow more than two sports consistently but to those that do it, kudos.

Is my sig fine?

And what about european handball? Korfball?

Sorry if we are passionate sports fans that enjoy every sport.

Bloody hell. Tissue? I don't dispute that you enjoy every sport, as do I enjoy nearly every sport. Although I don't think you could be "passionate" about every single one of those teams.
