Yes, I'm guessing those Adidas guernseys ____ posted, with Tasmania on the front and iinet on the back. Not sure if it will look too great.
 
I know the other part of my original post was discussed in another thread, but with the new "Need a New Look Logo" thread I think this needs to be brought up again.

The reason for the above is to actually recognise the work and time put in by the designers on this forum, yes we all design for fun but we should also not be taken for granted. I do thank those who have followed though with rewards/payments for designs, but just as many or even more of these competitions have has the mysterious disappearing member and I am sure that some of our designs are now out there being used without us even knowing. Or if the member decides to not use any of our designs then they should at least notify everyone of this decision.

Now from reading the OP this is a well known club wanting a new logo from someone on here without any mention of a payment/reward. To me this is a club trying to take advantage of the designers on this board to get a new logo created for free instead of paying someone to do it for them (I know there has been mention on the CCSLC that logo designers can charge around $70 per hour for their work, including a link to a blog post about how to decide on how much to charge).

Perhaps the club is willing to do something, but if not I really think that no one should post anything as it is unfair for all of the designers on this board.

Thoughts?
 
Even though I don't design stuff on this board, I was thinking the same thing when I read that OP. craegus why don't you PM him and offer your service at a fee? If they are looking for a logo competition you would probably win anyway, so why not make something out of it.

I'm not a logo designer, pretty much every logo I post on here with a design comes from something I found on google or wikipedia (with slight modifications/merges with other images).
 
I made a thread wanting basketball tops to be made. The desigins were put up & the team choose the design they liked. I offered to give a top to the winner but my mates were all titasses & gave me no extra.

I know a thank-you is not enough when somone has put time & effort to give somone a hand. But then again would you rather design somthing & it not be used or get used & your work was not wasted?

If I had won your competition and happened to be in the same position I would have asked for a thank you letter and a photo of the team in the jerseys so there was proof that my design was used. However, your case is different, that was for a local amateur team made up of a group of friends that was outlaying their own money for the jerseys, this however is for an entire semi-professional club that has sponsors and memberships.

The question has just been raised in that thread, but I am posting here in the attempt to get some specific rules incorporated into this board for this case as well as any future ones as well.
