Yes and no. That's what everybody told me. It was much harder than I thought because I chose stupid subjects. But I think that I would have done much better this year if I had shook off that deadly habit of procrastination. For example, I have three exams in the next three days and I haven't studied for any of them.

I have three assignments due this week, haven't started two of them. And two exams next week which I haven't studied for.

Who's going for an OP?

What state do you live in? In Vic, there's only one level of English and everyone does it.

South Australia. We have English Studies (very analytical and work intensive), English Communications (a lot of narrative writing, speech writing, general text production stuff), there's just a general English which does an even amount of stuff though the standards are a little lower, and then there is English Pathways, for people who aren't particularly good at English.

It was a nightmare for me too, every single assignment was a speech and I was terrible at speeches. I could see people contemplating suicide whenever I did one.

I LOVE SPEECHES. I always get good marks for them because of how confident I am and how well i speak etc etc. Which is weird, because I'm shy in general situations.

Had the same thought. Not just that, there are plenty of NZ players scattered throughout the league in Aus teams. I guess it has the southern cross on there?

It's not a slap in the face. The Southern Cross represents both Australia and NZ. We don't own it, by any means. It's on the PNG flag too.

The thing I like about the WACE system is the stage 1, 2, 3 way of distinguishing levels of each subject. Surprised that there is only 1 English subject in Victoria. Speaking of speeches, I have one on Macbeth tomorrow, straight after my US electoral college essay. Looking to wing it

Hate to seem like I'm disagreeing with everything you say tonight, but 15 of 16 sides are Australian. The logo can be as Australian-oriented as they want.

Hell, the A-League has an NZ team in it but there's no mention of that in it's title.

Well, yeah - but the rest of the logo exudes Australiana. If I were a New Zealander and into rugby, I'd feel slighted.

I played Macduff in our production earlier in the year so the rest of my class thinks I know everything about the play. Little do they know that our version was butchered so badly that it was performed at Metropolis Fremantle.

6 minutes. I had to to do a 10 minute speech about Romeo and Juliet and then another one on the movie Romeo + Juliet.

Man, that's easy stuff. 6 minutes is only like 800-1100 words depending on how fast you speak as well. Do you get marked on the appropriateness of the language for audience?

Yeah we do, so I'm banking on that to carry me. Don't want to memorise too much of it because I also have my OSP on Wednesday and I'm focusing basically all attention towards that.

Yes. Although the text I'm doing for the exam in a week and a bit isn't so bad - "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote. It dragged on in parts, but the accounts of the murders are pretty cool.
