Actually all the novels we've done over the past few years have all been good. Animal Farm, Of Mice and Men, Boy in the Striped Pyjamas in year 9, and this year we had The Great Gatsby. Strangely no books in year 10? Didn't want to tear my eyes out like I did when we did Oedipus earlier in the year

Hey ppl non footy related but i have seen a few fgd boys in stadiums thread. For some reason unused or demolished stadiums remind me of drive in cinema's. 280 were built australia wide & only 14 remain today.

Good lord, what is that. Current one is miles better. Seems more like a logo for the Kangaroos (ARL), and yeah, not great for Aus/NZ relations... That fontwork is textbook 90s, and they've tried too hard to create a 'unique' shield motif. Nto to mention, the stars are out of whack (outermost right should be higher than left). And yet again a logo trying to show off something it really hasn't got with the '3D' work there.
Beer-wise (visually) it's VB meets West End, maybe?

Please take note (ie, nothing) from this, Port Adelaide - V's and curved shields aren't the easiest of emblematic combinations.

I have my first year 12 exam in about 2 hours. For English. It's worth 30% of my grade. I'm sitting on 85% currently, so if I completely fail I will get around 70% overall anyway, and that will get scaled up. So I'll probably wind up with about 75-80% overall.

I am bracing for fail.

There isn't much more you can say about that NRL logo. Pretty much nailed it Smeags.
The whole thing seems lopsided. The odd kerning of the text and its 'joined' nature means it looks like the text is weighted to the left. Plus the wonky stars look terrible and also create the illusion that the V's are higher up on the left side.

Thanks mate, I'm transfixed by this site, looking through all the old drive-ins. There were a couple in Geelong that closed up just as I entered this world! Love people who have niche hobbies like this.

I don't like that either, personally. Not a fan of things coming 'out' of shields when the shield is supposed to enclose everything. Ideally, I'd take the top logo and replace the Southern Cross with the green and white ball.
