Yeah, Jesse Crichton. Do you think this will be his break-out year?
He was told by Ross that he's "only been a professional footballer for a few months." He's from a town of a few dozen people in Tasmania, so I think living in a city (even just Perth) was good fun for him. Liked hitting the turps a bit, I think. But yeah, if one season will be his breakout, this'll be it. He'll be pointed into the Crowley position, that's the general consensus.

Thanks for clarifying what the Herald Sun is. Must be pretty underground and alternative, never even heard the name before. Weird.
Give him a break. There are people in different countries who might not know what it is, so be quiet because he's being helpful. :thumbsu:

Yeah, I guess Ross is making him feel like he has a fresh start with him, which is true as more opportunities will come with it. It would be a little different coming from a small town of a few dozen people in Tazzy, but it's good to see that he is thriving off the move to Perth. It's good to see that hopefully this year he'll break out. So much work and effort has gone in, no doubt, and it would be great to see him fill that Crowley position, which is what shut down North in round 22 this year.

Hope he does well.

Right. Because someone completely foreign to AFL football will be on an AFL forum, let alone something as niche as a footy jumper board...
I'm just saying that maybe someone like maggotz or Mero who are in North America might not know what the Herald Sun is (I'm pretty sure they know anyway, but do you get the point?)

Yeah, I laughed at it. Doesn't mean it needed to be said though.

If there was no laughter or banter on here this board would be a very boring place. What SA said wasn't personally attacking anyone, it was a bit of a laugh, you had a laugh, it's all good.

Yeah. I've used the pen tool before photoshop. But it was difficult because whenever I used it to try and draw the little things on the sleeves it would just change the entire shape of the sleeve itself. Illustrator is much more like PowerPoint or Word than Photoshop. I've got to learn how to use clipping masks.

At one time, years ago, I definitely would not have known what the Herald Sun was. (I doubt the same is true of Mero.)

But, thanks to teh internetz, we can follow newspapers from Oz and get minute-by-minute updates. :thumbsu:

Even living a half a world away, we can keep up with footy news, videos, etc., probably just about as well as anyone living where you are. The main difference for us is not being able to actually walk through a shop with footy merchandise on the shelves, or go to the MCG, etc.

That's my point. I have never set foot in England, but I follow the soccer and know the names of the most prominent fanzines, magazines, and newspapers. Someone will not be following jumper culture so closely if they don't know at least a bit about the game.

Also, the name. "Just saw the new Cowboys top in the Dallas Express." Two and two...

I grew up in Essendon, mate. I'm only here for the money.

maggotz is a seppo though.

Here's a rugby uniform pinched from a Sekem pdf for rugby jerseys.
I converted it to Richmond for a crossover project but took a few logos out.

You should be able to make it work, and the Clipping Masks are already there for the sleeves.

Or better still download the pdf (Click the Save button) http://www.sekem.com.au/nrl.html and open it in Illustrator Page 3.
