Helps when a brothel is not even 100 metres from punt rd.

Rumor has it the players exhanged their first set of jumpers in return for spending time 48 y.o woman!

Haha ! Funny shit!

The Royal across from punt rd oval (where Richmond was founded) is still around today (don't think its changed at all tbh) .. Absolute hole. Only thing it has going for it is the nude women and cold beer.

What do you guys think about this? It caught my eye shooting across the screen as I started going through clips to put together my USAFL video.

It appears to be about the same size as the footy on the grounds, but it's not a footy. If it were, it would have to be thrown like an American football. It would have been crossing the grounds, so about 100 yard pass with a footy at incredible speed, and, as we say, "on a rope" (straight, no wobble). Impossible. But, even if it was possible, it would have been seen by me (shooting the video) or players or umpires, because it would have potentially interfered with play. No one saw this.

Closeup, frame-by-frame. It's not a bug or bird. It also appears to be flat on the bottom. 5 frames to cross the screen, so that's about 1/5 of a second it is visible.

For some reason I can't get the embed code from facebook to work on here, so here's a link to the page with the video.

Thoughts?

It looks like it has transparant bug-like wings, so I'd definitely say it's a flying saucer. Get your tin foil hats, men, let's prepare for war!

Shane Warme is a dick. A superb Cricketer, but a dick of a person.

I think Warney is an okay guy. And I don't really like cricket, and I especially hate the recent Australian cricket teams (smug, arrogant, unsportsmanlike, boring arseholes). But Shane Warne has always seemed a down to earth and relatively normal guy. He's always good to fans as well, and not even in a wanky way. There's a story where he had a stopover in eastern Europe somewhere, and he heard an Australian trying to communicate with a Slovakian (or wherever they were). Warney comes over, helps the guy out, and asks him why he's in Slovakia, where he's from, that kind of stuff.

The biggest dick is Ricky Ponting (awful little prick he is) and Michael Clarke (arrogant, patronising, 'safe').

To be honest I wouldn't mind Suarez at Arsenal, what a player.
I would be disappointed if Arsenal ever bought him. A bonafide racist.

Seriously, what is your major beef with Ponting SA? I know especially earlier in his career he came off as a little too arrogant and all that but he actually grew out of that pretty early. If you appreciate genuine interaction with fans as well, Ponting is one of the very best at that. I'm not offended or anything, I'm just genuinely curious, for a guy that doesn't seem to care about cricket a lot I find it a little odd that you hate Ponting so much (or Clarke, for that matter).

It's something that you can't explain to the absolute majority of Australian cricket fans. There's a culture that brainlessly worships these people just because they play a sport for the country you too happen to be from.

This embodies why I hate him. What kind of team player acts like that? Let alone a captain? He's supposed to show some humility and respect, yet consistently yarned on about Australia being hard done by/playing poorly instead of congratulating the opposition. He is the most boring person ever and is devoid of any humour, intellect, or interest. At least Shane Warne acknowledges his faults and has a bit of character to him.

For the Brown Nose Gnomb to come out, when Ponting retired, and call him a "humble" person is just plain wrong. Yet almos no one bats an eyelid and continues on the mutual masturbatory culture that Australian sport perpetuates.

Again, this will fall on deaf ears and I'll be attacked for being negative. But there's a culture of falling head over heels for some private schooled pricks who are good at playing a sport. It's like the Jim Stynes thing, or even the John McCarthy thing. One was over-celebrated and his death hyperbolised, the other was charged with rape.

John McCarthy wasn't a dick at all. Incredibly nice, down-to-earth guy, and his girlfriend was much the same. He wasn't a rapist. But that would be irrelevant to the point you are making. The really numbing part of John's death was not just that we had lost a "private schooled prick" (sic), but that we had lost a 22 year old boy, and this was what sent a reminder to us that lives can be lost so suddenly.

Other than that, top post.

The private school prick thing was irrelevant to John McCarthy and Jim Stynes, it was a generalisation. I have no reason to believe McCarthy was nothing than a good person. But he was involved in a rape case, and that was glossed over.

I don't 'brainlessly worship' Ricky Ponting because I'm taught it through the media or because it's part of the sporting culture. (And I know this is probably the exact sort of response you're expecting really) he's not the only cricketer to lose his temper on the field and I think that was an extremely occasional thing throughout his career. I also can't remember many times where he focused on Australlia being hard done, or rather placing more prominence on that rather than congratulating the opposition but I'm sure he did on occasion.

But yeah, I do actually respect your opinion and I'm not attacking you. This place would be pretty boring if we all believed the same thing. But as I said I also don't brainlessly follow him because I am too dumb to have an original opinion that isn't formed from the media, I just respect him as a player and a leader. Nice Chaser reference also btw.

He's been very handy for Tassie since we picked him up.
Yeah, he's been very good top scoring nearly every game. Also, I honestly believe Doherty is better than Nathan Lion.

Lyon gets a pretty bad rap imo. He's no superstar but he's been pretty good, I don't think much more would have been expected of him. However my blind Tasmanian bias agrees with you.
