I was thinking of boarding at USC in my second year (2014). But it sounds like I'm better off continuing living with my parents. They're fairly well off so they pay for stuff like fuel, rego, phone plan, etc. so I can spend the money I earn on more 'exciting' things.

Why would you prefer living with your parents, Silent Alarm? Expenses?

USC you say? I'm in Grade 11 at Chancellor SC, right next to it :eek:

I wouldn't recommend the on-site accommodation as it is way overpiced for what you get.
Yeah I think I will just stay put anyway. Are you still living at home or have you moved out?
 
On the moving out of home thing it's all about how dependent you are on your parents at home. If you buy your own fuel, clothes, phone bill etc than I guess the only adjustments are a) not having your parents around and b) having to cook for yourself (may be more of a task for some)

Also, I saw Andy Demetriou at Melbourne Airport today said gday to him he asked me how I was going :p

When I was 18 I hated beer though.. Started to like it when I was around 22
same here. hated beer when i started drinking it but about 4-5 years later began to like it.
