Whats the difference between
All the image things? Gif jpeg png?

I had to save some from
Pdf to
Jpeg today i had never done it before

A .gif is a series of pictures put together into one file in a sequence to show something happening.
A .jpg is a picture that usually comes from a camera.
A .png is a self made picture, usually made in Paint.

I hope i got everything right. Can someone please confirm it for me.

gif - A form of computer image that moves as an animation, because it consists of frames, like a movie with no sound.
jpeg - A standardised image compression mechanism. So it's basically a format for compressed digital images.
png - A bitmap image format that uses lossless data compression. It's not platform independent and it can display more than 256 colours.

But yeah, Essendon are in the shit.
Not just the Dons.

This is supposed to encompass multiple codes, illegal drugs, organized crime and (from what I just read on another forum) match fixing. If that's true (the match fixing) it could be devastating. Here, in baseball during the 1919 World Series, the Chicago White Sox were heavily favored v the Cincinnati Reds. Some of the White Sox players threw some of the games (and they eventually lost the Series to the Reds), taking payment from gamblers who bet heavily on the underdog Reds. It's known as the Black Sox Scandal and nearly destroyed professional baseball. The players were tried in court for working with organized crime syndicates and somehow were found not guilty. But in order to save the sport the owners hired a commissioner, giving him complete power, and his first action (in order to re-establish the integrity of the game) was to ban those players from playing in the major leagues for life.

If that's what is going on here, in AFL, NRL, cricket, etc., it's going to be a hard sell to re-establish that integrity and prove to fans that the game is played genuinely and honestly. And if that's what has been happening, I would imagine cricket is about to get another black eye. I hope that the worst thing anyone in AFL was involved in was drug-related.

Its pretty amazing with the internet these days that ppl all around the world can discuss stuff like this. We are all new to drugs in sport besides justin charles from richmond banned for talking steriods in the 90's

Once bonds was the most hated player in mlb. They just used to ball him out so he got a walk to first & didnt hit

Not quite correct, especially on the .gif front.

.gif - A GIF, or a Graphics Interchange Format, reduces the number of colors in an image to 256, from potentially thousands of colors coming from a digital camera. GIFs also support transparency.
GIFs have the unique ability to display a sequence of images, similar to videos, called an animated GIF, which is a series of separate GIF images that are linked together to automatically create motion, or animation.
GIFs, like JPGs, also have the ability to load in segments on web pages. These images, known as interlaced GIFs, tend to be slightly larger than regular GIFs, but they allow a GIF image to be partially visible as it is loading on a web page.
GIFs can be used effectively for limited-color images, such as logos and graphs, or for images where transparency is important. Do not use GIFs for full-color product photos and staff portraits, for example, where color variances are important, as GIF colors are limited to 256.
Although the GIF format is still in use, it should generally be avoided in favor of the PNG format, which does nearly everything better.

.jpg/jpeg - The JPG file format, short for Joint Photographic Experts Group, is a type of image compression that works best with photographs and complex images. JPGs use a compression method that removes non-human-visibile colors from images to decrease file sizes. Be careful, though. If you decrease the quality of a JPG too much, you will begin to lose important color information that cannot be recovered.
The JPG file format also allows you to save progressive JPGs, which will load in stages. You may have experienced this before when visiting a website and watching as an image slowly loses its blurriness and becomes clearer.
Use JPGs for product photos, human portaits and other images where color variances are important. Do not use JPGs if you need transparency, which is the ability to see through an image and decipher the background behind it. JPGs do not support transparency.

.png - PNGs, or Portable Network Graphics, were created as an alternative to the GIF file format, when the GIF technology was copyrighted and required permission to use. PNGs allow for 5 to 25 percent greater compression than GIFs, and with a wider range of colors. Like GIFs, PNG file formats also support transparency, but PNGs support variable transparency, where users can control the degree to which an image is transparent. The downside to advanced transparency in PNGs is that not all older browsers will display the transparency the same.
PNGs also support image interlacing, similar to GIFs, but PNGs use two-dimensional interlacing, which makes them load twice as fast as GIF images.

So basically if you want to create an animation then you can only use a .gif but the quality will be really low. Photos are best in .jpg/jpeg format and any images that you want to use on here or websites is best in .png.

Justin Charles thanks for taking me back. Good footballer for a short while polled 17 in the brownlow the year Hirdy and Voss won it with only 3 more votes than Charles
