Melbourne> Sydney without a doubt imo

Reasons?

And I'm not just talking about football ability either

Since when?

Perth>Melbourne>Sydney

Awwwww, we will let you think that.....

I've just always enjoyed my time in Melbourne more than Sydney. No specific reasons sorry.

Adelaide shits all over your inbred cities more than Hobart does.

I mean, they do say Adelaide is stuck in the 1980's but hey, who doesn't love retro?

Adelaide died when the GP left.

Sydney's a pretty nice place but once you venture out of the city it gets kind of scummy. It doesn't compare to Melbourne.

Welcome back old friend.

Penrith Represent!
Im a Western Sydney bloke myself and I have to agree to an extent. Some places are really bad but others are ok out in the GWS territory. Penrith for example is pretty border line, there are some odd people but its a fairly enjoyable city.

Yeah it depends on where you go, there are basically bands or pockets of poorer looking areas, but then you come across some absolute gems. But the suburbs of the two cannot really be compared as the spread of the suburbs occurred for different reasons and as such the look of them is completely different.

Nah, Sydney's a pretty nice city. Up near the Rocks is one of the best spots in Australia. I get a bit of a Fitzroy/Collingwood vibe in Newtown and Balmain, and every city has shithole suburbs and cookie-cutter developments.

But the lifestyle in Melbourne is just better. Sydney just seems a bit boring and the scene doesn't seem as pretentious lively or something. It's probably a better tourist town if you're not an Aussie, but living in Melbs is heaps better than living in Sydney (in my humble). The girls are cuter. The sport is better. You don't get Tooheys...
