Trading James Harden was a bad move.

Anyway, I've got the Pacers coming out of the East, and one of the Clippers or Spurs in the West.

You rate Houston?

Hate playing the pacers, they know how to play Miami.

I don't think they're done making moves, kinda expecting to move someone like Asik. Don't think Jeremy Lin is the right guard for that team, either. If they gel well though, wouldn't be surprised to see them come out of the West. Golden State could be another roughie, but they're probably a year away.

The Pacers seem ready, and the Heat might start to run out of steam after three trips to the Finals in a row.

So I woke up this morning to read this. Is Chief Wahoo Finally on the Way Out?

Those who live in America or have a good understanding of the American leagues/culture, why is it that names like the Cleveland Indians and particularly Washington Redskins are so offensive? Is "Redskins" really as bad as "the n word"?

Fair and unbiased opinion please, any racism then I can and will hand out infractions.

I'm not 100% certain about this but Redskins isn't as bad as the N word however it has racial undertones. The name Indians isn't an issue, but the Chief Wahoo logo is kind of like what blackface is to African Americans.

Two separate issues.

"Redskin" is actually a racially offensive term, a bit like the 'n' word but for some reason more commonly accepted. The 'red' loosely refers to skin colour, so it's a bit like how some use the colour yellow to offensively refer to people from Asia.

The Cleveland Indians' problem is just the mascot/logo being a stereotypical and racially offensive caricature of Native Indians.

My Grandfather is Native American.

Remember when the lolly "Redskins" used to have a picture of an American Indian on them?

Are they still around? I haven't seen one in at least 5 years.

They replaced them ages ago. I do remember though, it was a picture of a native american indian side on with the feathers and all that

Does this mean Blackhawks as well?

Nope, nothing has ever been said about them. But then again their logo is fairly tame and respectful (is in actual skin colour rather than red) and the name is not deemed as being racist.

Just watching the news and there was a helicopter crash at Collingwood Football Club
Sandra Sully with the late news. ;)
