Liverpool has not got a lot of aussie fairweathers these days due to being shit-tier disappointments over the last 5 years, and people have very short memories.

Very very good position to be bandwagoned right now.. come on NM! you know you wnt to

I think I'll do what El_Scorcho suggested and get to know the teams a but before I make a decision.

This will include watching matches and playing FIFA.

And you know this how? It's really not. Maybe for fair-weathers.

It's an opinion.

If you're picking a side for no real reason with no real attachment you are going to be fairweather to begin with regardless. If NM Design picks a side and they get relegated this season, he's not really emotionally invested and can just pick a new one.

In any case, he's doing the right thing by attempting to let it happen naturally. If he ends up with Liverpool so be it.

It helps if you remember watching old FA Prem League highlights from when you were younger on SBS or Sports Tonight. You might know who I liked watching

I remember picking my team because when i was introduced to soccer i was like 5 and my brother's friend and family were huge on manchester united, they were from england, so i went with the team directly against them (at the time, maybe it's man city more nowadays).

I was some edgy child.

I don't give two shits about soccer, but when I was picking my NHL team, I remember picking the team with the coolest name and colour scheme. That was the Phoenix Coyotes.

Pretty sure they finished 29th overall (out of 30) the first season I followed them fully and didn't make the playoffs until 2010.

I picked the Blackhawks in NHL99 for the same reason.

And partially because of Wayne's World

It's called a salard and you have just insulted half of the Jumper Board's citizens for their choice in haircut.

And we don't use iTunes. Or know who Passenger even is.
That was not intended as a comment on the suitability of such haircuts, but rather a reference to NMDesign not currently sporting one.
And if he does choose a hipster team, then he might as well adopt a complete hipster lifestyle.
As for the musical stylings of the artist who calls himself Passenger, perhaps you might give him a try, I would have thought you might like him. I must admit to not knowing of the band Bloc Party before hearing of them here, though I not completely sure what led me to them. :)

Cricket review system?? Yay or nay
I think it needs to be changed to no player input at all. The on field umpires are encouraged to go with their gut feel on all occasions. If there is a blatent schocker out or not out, the review umpire in the box needs to have a quick word down to the on field ump and review it on the replays and then and only then will decisions be overturned.
This comes from 2 incidents in 2 days of cricket. 1st was yesterday Lyon boweled hit the Englishman (forget who) well outside off stump Clarke and co have a chat Lyon shakes his (saying no dont bother I would guess) and Clarke reviews anyway. 2nd was just now Lyon to Borthwick Bat onto pad up to Clarke at 1st slip and he takes a great diving catch everyone celebrates then the on field ump kills the moment and refers it upstairs to review if it was grassed. It was clearly a catch, the back of Clarkes hand didnt even touch the ground.

Personally, I think the review system should be used for every wicket.

This may be excessive, but it's consistent. If the umpires are going to check the front foot no ball for every wicket, then they may as well review each wicket.

Yes but what Im trying to say is I dont want it used at all except if instigated by the video ump and that is only if there is a glaringly obvious mistake. Those two examples I gave are far from it. The incident earlier in the week in the BBL, where Wade clearly edged it through to the keeper and wasnt given out. Lets say that was in an Ashes test match, there wouldve been a perfect chance for the system that I have suggested to work.

Is there anything sweeter to see on the SCG scoreboard?
