I know the official reason is because not every ground would have been available. But secretly I think the reason is because they didn't want the game at the WACA again. I mean realistically, there are only so many teams with a genuine chance, and Perth is almost always up there.

They took away our Australia Day game (didn't rain here today, which would have worked) and then they give us no World Cup games with Australia involved.
